Day Eleven: Teeth (306 words)
Kris had been feeling strange all day, well honestly since he got bit by some animal camping with Jan two weekends ago, but today he is feeling particularly irritable.
He woke up to Jan's soft breathing that somehow made Kris' skin crawl and he had to resist smothering him with his pillow. Then at breakfast, he legitimently bit at Jan's fingers when he tried to brush his hair out of the way while cooking. Thankfully Jan just brushed it off with a chuckle, but even that carefree reaction pissed Kris off.
It got worse as the day went on. His migraine didn't go away with meds, his joints worked against him, and he couldn't play a full song without fumbling at practice to save his life. Everyone kept trying to check in on him, but their voices all sounded like high pitched ringing and only served to aggravate him more. Kris knew he should feel bad for snapping at everyone but he couldn't find it in him to care. It only got worse as the sun went down.
"Kris? Are you panting right now?" Nace came over and placed his hand on Kris' forehead flinching back at the teeth snapping at him. "Kris!?" Everyone turned at him, shocked that he would lash out at Nace of all people. "You're burning up, I seriously think you need to go to the hospital right now."
"Maybe it's rabbies since he tried to bite you!"
"Bojan, not funny." Jan stood up from his spot at practice and glared at the singer. He started the day thinking his boyfriend was just a bit grumpy this morning, but he only watched him get worse and worse throughout the day. Little did he know it was about to get a whole lot worse when Kris walked out into the full moon light.

408 words - this became an accidental sort-of companion piece to my drabble from yesterday. Day Ten: Wish
If there’s one question that Matic hopes to never hear again after this week, it’s “are you sure?” Everyone means well, of course, but it hasn’t made his decision to appear tonight any easier. Some days he’s glad it happened. It really was all for the best – as galling as it is to put into words – and he’s so much happier now that his drumkit feels like an extension of himself when he sits at it, rather than something unnatural and intimidating. Other days he thinks it would have been best if he’d never joined at all: never said yes, never got swept along with it all, never thought that everything had to work out in the end just because he was surrounded by his best friends and wanted it more than anything in the world. And some days he just wishes he’d seen the writing looming on the wall before everyone else and not told himself if I just try harder and if I just get better until the words stuck in his head better than any of their drum arrangements ever could. Maybe then he’d be greeting them with the same enthusiasm as Martin is right now ahead of him. At least I was here for the music, he remembers snapping at Martin when he’d tried to see him a few days after the talk. Someday Bojan’s going to realise that you’re not, and then you’ll be where I am. Maybe if he’d realised, he’d still be enjoying the same friendship with them as before, not just hurt and regret patched together with an occasional coffee and the odd check in text. Because, really, that’s the one thing he misses most. The one thing that they can’t get back, no matter how hard Kris tries and how upbeat Bojan is and how much Jan and Martin try to reason and mediate. No matter how desperate any of them are, no matter how much they wish it. There’s no turning the clock back. There’s no undoing what has been done. Sometimes he suspects he’ll go on wishing it for the rest of his life, against all reason. But right now, in this very second, he’s glad he said yes to Stoziče. And as he steps forward to greet his old bandmates, he’s glad they asked too. Things can never be what they once were, but maybe he can put at least a few ghosts to rest tonight.

"Damn it!" Kris had just sat down after moving out of the campfires smoke for the third time, coughing even more as the smoke seemed to follow him around. "Nace help!"
"What do you want me to do?" He had a playful smirk as he watched the youngest move the old plastic chair behind his own.
"Fight off the smoke for me." Kris ploppped his chin on the bassist shoulder, tucking his nose into Nace's sweater to protect it from the fire.
"You know what they say right?" Kris turned towards Bojan, but Nace was the one to answer the question.
"Smoke follows beauty." He had a big goofy grin, the one that showed off the gap in his teeth, and it was enough to distract Kris from his cheesy line.

I'm so glad you appreciated my little lingerie fantasy! Maybe there was a little spice in it after all. But today I wrote this almost a teenage romance😨 I don't know why, I miss smutty me!
The Guštin house is full of people and happy noise. It's already quite late, people have ended up chatting in smaller groups and different rooms. Martin is sitting in the corner of the living room by himself when Jan comes and sits on his lap as if it's his place.
"I'm so glad he's in the band!" Jan's drunk and has been rambling all night, but these words come out clearly. Martin looks at him with a frown.
"No no no, don't think - I don't mean -, you know I love you -" Jan can't get any thoughts out. Martin is amused and he lets Jan squirm a bit before interrupting him.
"Jan, please, I understand that he's a great bass player. But an hour ago I saw you close the bedroom door after you'd pushed him in first. I guess you're a bit biased."
Jan grins and presses his forehead against Martin's.
We have to get some sweetness to have us feel the spice anonyboo.

I got a little cocky when you praised me as saucy yesterday, but vem da ne bi smel 😕Today's fic is way too decent and I didn't even count my words! I'll work harder tomorrow.
“But, eh, why?” Jan asks. They’ve been discussing some financial matter and he zoned out for a moment and now has to admit he has no idea what’s going on.
Kris is visibly irritated. "Why? Why what?! Did you listen at all? Or did you just not understand?" Jan looks away and everybody goes uncomfortably quiet.
Jure becomes a filter. "Why? Why has this has beeven? Is there has been a reason --" and then Bojan joins him loudly: "WHY IS THIS SO SPARKLATIVE?" Relieved laughter erupts from all of them, even Kris.
Jan and Nace's eyes meet. Jan makes a subtle move and with an almost invisible gesture points to his pants. Nace nods just as subtly, but the corners of his mouth twitch slightly. They both know what Jan is wearing under his jeans.
Way too decent?? But Jan is secretly wearing a sparkly thong under his clothes (one that he stole from Bojan, if I remember correctly) and Nace knows and it's all either of them will be thinking about the whole time! Financial discussion cancelled, Nace needs to play in those sparkles immediately. Not decent at all 😈
