Short version: I’m a mod in a brand new Steven Universe multiverse rp server! Please join us even though we don’t have many people with us yet.

As of today, I am a mod in a brand new discord server! It’s meant for people who own/are fans of different Steven Universe AUs. As I’m writing this, we only have 2 members who aren’t mods (it was literally opened to the public an hour ago) so please help us grow the server! Please don’t join if you aren’t a Steven Universe fan. This isn’t necessarily a Steven Universe blog, so I know not everyone reading this is a fan, but I know some of you are, so if you are a fan, please don’t hesitate to join! It’s a rp server, but we have a section of it just for friendly conversation. When you enter the server, read the rules all the way through and get your member role. You’d be surprised how many people don’t get the member role and get stuck with just the rules and join channels. Please don’t leave the server because we don’t have many people. We’re working on getting more people on the server. Be patient. I’m really excited for this server to get bigger and I hope you’ll help us achieve that!

"Nice going, Spinel!" Jade yelled out as the corrupted gem was poofed and bubbled by none other than Spinel.

‘Gee, thanks Jade!’ Spinel beamed as she sent the pink colored bubble away then joined the other’s side, her big smile never leaving her face.

‘Buuut I couldn’t have done it without you, silly!’ she booped Jade’s nose with a giggle.

“Aw, thanks!” Jade said, giggling. The two gems had always got along great. After all, they were both made to make others happy, so they were almost always optimistic. They were basically the emotional structure of the Crystal Gems.

“I don’t want to worry them, but we should probably tell the others about this when they get back from their mission. For now, though, I just need a day to relax. You deserve it too,” she spoke on the way back to the temple.

Spinel followed her happily, a darker hue slightly dusting her cheeks from the gem’s previous comment.

‘Aw shucks, if you say so. Besides, I love spending time with ya! Not to mention I’m dying to eat some donuts!’ she giggled once she finished her sentence then bounced behind Jade for the rest of the way back home.

“ In that case, we’re going the wrong way. To the Big Donut! “ Jade said joyfully.

She was getting more upset by the minute, but she wanted to remain cheerful in front of Spinel. It was a combination of her knowing that the pink gem would do everything in her power to cheer her up and that Jade didn’t just didn’t want her to worry. She knew, though, that Spinel would find out eventually. Probably sooner than later.

The pink gem stopped for a brief moment before a wide grin spread across her face.

‘Gee, you sure are right! Come on then, let’s get some! Oh, we should probably grab some extra ones for Steven and Amethyst too!!’

She kept bouncing happily. Yet, she could see it in Jade’s eyes. It was a little too obvious, that something was bothering her. But… why wasn’t she… saying anything…?

Spinel stopped, the squeak in her step fading as well as she stood still. She clenched her fists and bit her lip.

‘Jade… Is there something you’re not telling me?…’

Sooner than later indeed. It was sooner than she thought, though.

“What!? No- I-” she stumbled over her words before sighing. She wasn’t the kind of person to lie once she had been found out, so she just told the truth.

“I appeared in the warp pad exactly eleven months and twenty-four days ago.”

‘Yes, I… remember.’ Spinel muttered out, that day flashing before her eyes briefly before closing them with a small sigh.

‘Gosh…’ she began, finding it hard to talk suddenly as a forced smile formed on her lips. She swallowed, trying to ignore the lump in her throat.

‘You were cracked. And so scared, I- I tried reasoning with the others, I tried telling them that you were definitely no threat, it was so obvious.’ Spinel lamented, feeling somewhat guilty that she wasn’t able to calm the others down back then.

'And then…’ she sighed heavily. 'We only scared you more…’

Spinel took Jade’s hands in her own then, finally, looked into her eyes.

'I’m sorry, Jade. That must’ve been the worst welcome you could’ve ever gotten.’

“Oh Spinel… I’m not mad at you, you did all that you could and I know that. And when I shut myself off from you all in the months after I got here, it wasn’t because I was scared,” Jade explained, tearing up.

“I-I never told you guys about it, I didn’t want you to stop trusting me. But, um… I didn’t escape Homeworld on my own. There was a Topaz. We were going to escape together, live together on Earth,” she let the tears she was holding in flow down her cheeks.

“But… She was shattered. I made it out with only a cracked gem! I was the one who approached her with the idea!”

Jade slipped one of her hands out of Spinel’s grasp to wipe away falled tears and took a deep breath.

“Six days from now is the first anniversary of her death. I know I’m going to shut myself off again, but I know you hate it when I do it. I’m sorry…”

Spinel said nothing, only listened, taking in her every word and every tear that left her eyes. With a heavy heart, she reached for Jade’s face and wiped her cheek with care. Her pink eyes were glossy.

'Jade, it’s alright. I understand, I really do. No, I’m not mad or anything that you didn’t tell us because…’ Spinel paused before letting out a forced laugh.

'I’m the same you know? I prefer to keep it in since… Nevermind, this isn’t about me.’ she shook her head.

'Jade, I know it hurts and that’s ok, really. The important thing is that it wasn’t your fault. And I know you might try to tell me otherwise, but it’s really not. It’s not you and it definitely wasn’t her, it’s this system that Homeworld goes by. Rotten, ugly…’

'But we are The Crystal Gems. And we’re nothing like them. We have our ups and downs, of course, but we’re still fighting for what’s good. So come on.’ the pink gem offered Jade her hand with her signature smile.

'I think this calls for a party. For us and Topaz, in her honor.’ Spinel fistbumped the air with determination.

'What do you say?’

Jade wiped away her tears and let a smile spread across her face. She held Spinel's hand, nodded, and said, "Let's do it."

She hugged Spinel tightly and mumbled, "Thank you, Spinel. I needed that."

She separated from the hug and said, "First, let's get donuts. Then we can have a party."
