Most of Platinum Rose's sprites were made first by making a 3d model of the character and then posing them. Then I'd take a picture of that, move it into a photo editing program, and make the sprite proper. In these you can see some of the effects started on the models themselves, drawing patterns on the textures there. In the 2nd one, you can see those qualities even persist on their hoodie design.

One really fun detail I love that artist Norumeep has been thorough about, is retaining some details from the models even if the in-game sprites don't show them. In the first picture, you can see on her 3d model the club girl has a bandaid on her cheek, but in-game this isn't visible in any of her sprites. However, in Valiant Rose, you can rest easy knowing the band aid is still there. A major element of Valiant Rose as a sequel is how differently Lilith and Jane view this world, and this is a quality of that.

I don't want to share many, in respect to those who spent money on this, but in the Platinum Rose artbook Norumeep made a deck of tarot cards. In this we can see many of these characters already have their non-filter design created. Here's one of the green-haired girl from the fourth picture.

Valiant Rose is a very special game to me, much like Platinum Rose is. I'm excited to finally be able to share more of this with you.
