How it Probably Happened
Bob the animator: âOk, so, thereâs gonna be a broken piece of a sign that says âKLâ on it. Can you draw that?â
Frank the animator: âYeah, sure, howâs this look?â
Bob the animator: âWell, if it was ACTUALLY a broken piece of a sign that says âKlondike,â it wouldnât have a big gap after the letters, but whatever. We can fix it in the closeup.â
Frank the animator: âUh⌠ok. Shouldnât I change it in the first shot?â
Bob the animator: âNah, leave it, but give the new one some wood texture, and make it smaller⌠oh, and change the lengths of the spikes. The kids wonât notice.â
Frank the animator: âMore like this?â
Bob the animator: âYeah, yeah! And for the final scene, make it REALLY big, and remove the texture, and⌠heck, make it two spikes instead of three. Two is better.â
Frank the animator: âAlright, itâs done. Are you sure no one will ever notice all these haphazard, illogical changes?â
Bob the animator:Â âYeah! I mean, what, do you think someoneâs gonna take photos and put them on a blog with 3,500 followers some day? That would be ridiculous.â
and they wouldâve gotten away with it too if it werenât for you meddling tumblr kids
