Okay, forget about coming up with a clever framing devices for this post.
You need to see this truly insane photo of Gabe the Cat.
Normally, the "the cat" part is redundant as soon as you see a photo of him.
In this case you might genuinely be unsure.
But lastly... a proper Gaben, as a palate cleanser.
Ahhhhh. Breathe in, breathe out. Forget the accursed batcat.
Say it isn't so! The maraca-gourd-thing fell down the stairs!
Okay, more like it was kicked, whatever.
It's all the same to the gourd.
They run.
Fred 'n' Velma hear.
They run.
Fred 'n' Velma prepa– wait, how long of a process is sprinting down the stairs?!
They just keep running...
...preparations are made...
...and after an entire– er, hold on.
*opens stopwatch*
*squints*
...25 freakin' seconds to sprint down 3 flights of stairs?
That couldn't possib– er, re-hold on
*re-opens stopwatch*
*times, as a 31-year-old, running down the stairs for the internet*
According to a highly-unscientific test, you can very easily run down a flight of stairs in 2.5 seconds.
They would be 10 stories deep in the earth's crust.
Er, seven after going down the three of the– just forget it
Sometimes you'll just open the gallery of prospective post material...
(this is a hypothetical you, you're not me)
...and right there from the grid...
...fate's accidentally bequeathed a new a meme format.
The order even worked out right. Props to weird blink for happening first, weird blink's a pretty cool dude.
Exporting two new gifs into the old episode's final folder created a narrative of packing up and leaving the big city to go to a haunted house.
That is all. You may resume scrolling.
Toto, I don't think we're in Dynomutt anymore.

Like a wine and cheese pairing, some gifs just belong together.
Doesn't matter if I'm nine years old or 31.
Finding a stupid face in a tweening frame is a guaranteed smile.
Okay, well, I guess it does sorta matter for being able to legally drink, or operate heavy machinery, or be told you can't drink while operating heavy machinery. Other than that? Haven't really noticed a difference between being nine and 31.
Okay folks, let's settle the age-old shimmy debate once and for all.
Oh, don't look at me like that. "Happened two minutes ago" is an age for a debate, and it's in the past so it's old.
While building this gif, though I liked the refined, clean version...
...Meg votes for the original test like this.
Now I'm torn.
I call upon you, oh arbiters of shimmy.
Cast your judgements below. Or don't and talk about the unimpressed zombie.
"Okay, Fred leads us in from the wide shot, opens the door. Let's go."
Ted the Animator: “Oh, that's not Fred."
Carl the Animator: “...what?"
Ted the Animator: “It's the other one-off guy. The musician."
Carl the Animator: “But it's Fred talking!"
Ted the Animator: “Yeah, but that's not where he's standing in the actual shot."
Carl the Animator: “Fiiiiiiiiine."
Ted the Animator: “...I didn't mean you should teleport him between shots, Carl."
Carl the Animator: “If I've told the writers once, I've told 'em a thousand times: no redundant blonde dudes dressed in white. It just muddies the waters."
*scrolling through post material 10 minutes ago*
"...hold up, why did I save this frame sequence, anyway?!"
"It's not a clean loop I could make go infinite... that painting is dope, yeah, but–"
"..."
"...theeeeere we go."

Broke down laughing once I got to the end. This was not the plan.
The plan was to arrange the atmospheric background art in a rough narrative chronology...
...but all it did was create a narrative of visiting a haunted house...
...checking out the wiring for any code violations...
...heading to the basement...
...and presumably getting hammered.
Nah, I take it back. Maybe we just invented the greatest episode of all time.
Caption this.
Our three SDM Lucky Themes™ of the week are "the year 2026", "Oscar nominations", and "rivets" those looking to maximize their score.
You never really know what's goin' on in your house at night.
Well, at least until the robot vacuum starts detecting pets for photos.
Apparently there were all these mysterious animals I wasn't aware of...
...but it certainly proved how much Garth likes their little window, captured a full eight times...
...and Gabe– SERIOUSLY DUDE
THAT'S 33 TIMES
WHAT DO YOU KNOW THAT WE DON'T
But anyway.
If there's one lesson to take away from all this, it's to not worry about that corner cryptid...
...not when there's a suspicious rope right there on the floor.
Seriously though, Gabe? We could generate a 3D scan of you just from every captured angle of sitting by the window. This is an intervention.

Perception is a funny thing.
Can't tell you how many times over the years I must have seen this episode...
...yet somehow I never once noticed...
...cutting from one background to the same dang background.
And okay okay, it was kind of a lie, but it's only an estimate. 3 or 4 times. Hey, not like it was that Batman crossover with the green fountain that spooked me out on VHS.
We are now 37 seconds into the episode.
The faces we've received so far are as follows.
It's been too long, man.
A couple months of Dynomutt: Dog Wonder is apparently all it takes to acclimate to a much lower baseline level of chaos. This is gonna be good.
