Alex was off work yesterday and it was incredible. Just having his presence at home relaxes me no end, his back at work today and I feel an overwhelming anxiousness without him. We’ve learnt to depend on each other so much during his 4 months off and I can’t function properly on days without him, lol. Pathetic. 😬 I just miss my team mate, my husband and my best friend. Days are better with him.

Dinner tonight is hot brioche rolls with slices of beef, onions, stuffing and gravy served with miniature oxo beef roast potatoes 🥰 it was amazing and soooo satisfyingly tasty, Messy, hot and comforting. 🤤

I caved. I tidied the living room, put all the shoes away, hoovered, cleaned out the hoover and the kittens cage, the litter tray and washed their food bowls. I also made dinner and sprayed all the rugs and sofa.
Tomorrow it’s “sort shit out” Sunday, which means we can sort out the garden, the house and the laundry, ready for a fresh week ☺️

I’m missing evenings like this, days like this and moments like this. Furlough seems like forever ago and I’m already full of anxiety, stress and a huge sense of overwhelming and exhaustion. I miss being a double parent household everyday, instead of only seeing and having Alex home a couple of hours before bed time. It really sucks.
Today is my nieces sixth birthday and we are going over to my sisters to have a “social distanced” gathering, to sing happy birthday and give her presents. My daughters are so excited to see her and all of the family. They’re practically bursting at the seams.
Alex is also taking the girls out today to have a walk around the towns lake with his work friend and his son. It’s going to be good for the girls to socialise outside, with the fresh air and new people. No boundaries, just running around and being as loud and abrupt as they want to. It’s going to be a great day for them and hopefully it burns off some of their forever chaotic toddler energy they seem to hold at the moment.
Me on the other day? I’m dying for the peace and quiet, the seperate time away from everyone and everything. The still atmosphere and the house empty. I might even have an uninterrupted bath and do absolutely nothing. I’m excited and also feel anxious to be without them.. but they need the time away and oh god, so do I.

Life update;
We have decided to stay in our current home for longer and have recently signed another contract. This takes off the enormous saving money pressured we had, considering everyone’s stability and money situations aren’t great cause of COVID.
My crohns has been quite stable, Steve the stoma is doing really well, better than ever and I’ve recently started a new treatment called sterlara infections to the stomach.
Alex went back to work two weeks ago. I’m gutted. Lol. Sulking and actually really down about it. I love spending the time together, being a family of four and being complete everyday. The girls adored the time with their dad and really thrived with seeing him all day.
We got two kittens, because.. why not? 🥰
The dogs are doing fine, still perfect bundles of energy. Pongo has grown up a lot and is the size of a horse and she’s still growing!! Storms still awesome. ❤️
I’m still emotionally and physically exhausted, more so than ever, due to the recent changes of Alex going back to work. I got used to the help and having someone else here
Over the furlough period, me and Alex built an outside pond, built some benches and an adult area of the garden. It’s lush.
The girls are doing really well, ambers almost four years old and I can’t even get my head around that. Autumns going to be three. THREE. what the fuck happened to my newborn baby 😭😭
