Passports ✅

Dan’s never had one. I had one YEARS ago and was lazy didn’t renew it because I was dumb and in my 20s (plus cheap lmao) and since I was over 21 my parents didn’t care, they were like figure it out yourself and it was just too stressful so I ignored it.

Welp, Dan and I went and applied (mine was so old I don’t even know where it is) and now we have shiny new passports! They came so fast! Barely 2 weeks after we applied (and we did not do expedited).

Today, we went and applied for the kids! Which seemed even easier since I’d already done it.

IOnce I broke it up into items to tackle and took it one step @ a time, it didn’t feel so overwhelming. Also breaking it down the adults getting them first and then the kids made it seem easier too. (Also $$$ wise because they aren’t cheap!)

✅ Will and power of attorney

I was chatting with a friend (whose daughter has been friends with Cecilia for years) about how making a will was giving me anxiety and asking her if she has one and she was like well my husband is a lawyer so he handled it yada yada and I was like oh yeah that’s right and she was like he can probably refer you to someone he works with? And I was like oh! So I reached out to him and he was like I can refer you but I also can do it if you’re comfortable with that??? And he only charges a cheap flat rate for friends and family and I was like ummmm yes ???? So he came over a couple weeks ago and walked us through it and so on Friday we’re supposed to head to his office + sign everything/make it official.
