“I guess..maybe this wasn’t the look after all...”
"Uhhhh.." Within moments he leaves out the typical banter entirely as he rests his head onto her lap. It was a place of comfort, relaxation and just overall ease while those tired eyes glances up to her. Even then it was impossible to keep away his smile. "Mind if I relax here a lil bit? If I move anymore I feel like I'ma just insta-turn into dust."
“So lazy,” Ann comments lightly, although there’s no bite in her words. Ryuji’s been working hard recently in his commitment to train for track again. It makes her proud, really, to see him like this. It reminds her of simpler days, when she would watch him from the bleachers, marveling secretly while he flew through the wind like he was simply a part of it. Even back then, Ryuji Sakamoto was destined for greatness, even if he didn’t know it. He was still just as dense as he was back then, luckily, she was just as soft when it came to him. Some things never truly changed.
It’s what leads her to run her nails through his hair, scratching light at his scalp, light smile mirroring his own. It wasn’t often they got to just relax like this, settled on the couch. She needed to savor this. It’s soothing for her, and she hopes it is for him too, if his eyes drifting close and body settling into her lap are any indication.
“Just don’t drool on me,” she jokes, using her other hand to poke at his nose, letting it drift to the side of his cheek, letting it rest before there. She pauses, ever so briefly, before leaning down, a small kiss against his lips before leaning back into the couch herself, letting her eyes fall closed. “Get some rest, loser. I’ll wake you up when it’s time for dinner.”
