“You know, Carmens. Like… you know.” He’s gesturing with his hands now.

“My...”

A cold sweat had jolted Futaba from her lie-in - half ten in the morning was a remarkably early start for the redhead, but here she was, and she was panicking.

"You awake?"

Akechi groaned at the question. 

“Unfortunately,” he responded curtly, “although I really wish I wasn’t. It is rather late, after all.” He offered the younger man a wry smile.

“Seems pretty accurate to me.”

“Alright - a promise is a promise.”

Takuto was very much aware of the fact that he had once again talked poor Amamiya-kun’s ear off for the better part of an hour about the intricate details of his research - unintentionally, of course, but once he got started on his passion it was as though he got an uncontrollable burst of energy. He couldn’t help it. Still, now that he was cognisant of just how long the teenager had been sitting there indulging him, he felt that he owed it to him to uphold his side of the bargain they had made upon their first meeting.

Wow. Ren knew Makoto’s response would be pretty adorable, but he didn’t expect her to reach the peak of cuteness like this. Was it downhill from here? Or would Makoto continue to be even cuter? Ren wanted to know. “Sorry, Queen,” Ren replied, before leaning in again and pressing a sweeter, more chaste kiss to her lips as opposed to the overly dramatized caricature of one from before. “…Is that better?”

Despite her own words facilitating his next move, she still let out a breathy squeak of surprise as his lips brushed against hers. Gone was the joking overtones that had carried her though the last kiss with minimal damage. With that, all she could do was flounder in her renewed embarrassment.
