            âYouâre spiritually homeless,â Rob said as he stirred his pai mu tan white tea, âyou just walk through life, youâre a sad bloke.âÂ
           âI donât just walk through life,â Gav thought as he stared at his ever-extinguishing cigarette. âI just have a lot responsibility, and a lot of bills. We canât all be starving artists.â He responded.
           Rob laughed, âCheers, youâre right, what a life it is. Youâre still young; I donât know what youâre waiting for. You just need to get out there and be more adventurous.â
           âYou make it sound so bloody simple.â
           Gav was twenty-one, out of university, and stuck interning in a personal financing company. He hated it, but art doesnât pay the bills, mindless file work did. He would meet up with Rob, a confessional poet and self-described altruist, every Tuesday at Paniâs CafĂŠ to discuss life. Gav had met Rob during his university days, the two were flat mates, and since then Rob has consistently tried to open Gav up to new forms of thinking. âIâm telling you, you should believe in something, you should have reasons to live.â Rob preached, âShit, you just need to find happiness, Iâm tired of looking at your shattered mug. Promise me youâll do something for you.â
           Rob didnât get it; he didnât understand the ups and downs to Gav. He didnât understand how hard it could be, the feelings of anger, anxiety, sadness, and despair all at the same time. Anytime Gav was close to something he wanted it was as if there was a break in the dam allowing all of his emotions out at once.......
