Opinions on men's mental health month
We already have mental health month you don't need another one to feel special. Everybody's mental health is neglected, men ain't need the extra credit.
If you genuinely believe that the mental health issues faced by men are worse than those of women you're a misogynist. End of.
I never said they were but the societal normal with men is that the men are meant to be stoic and emotionless. Which has led to men being less willing to get help. The point of men's mental health month isn't to make anyone else's mental health less important it is to spread awareness that men's mental health matters as well. Which has helped hundreds of men through hard times such as myself and I'm not trying to bring down the mental health of other people. I also haven't heard you complain about women's mental health month which is may. Therefore that is also sexism.
Mental health month already exists why don't the men use that one.
Because they hate pride month and are misogynists.
I tried hard to scroll past but men's mental health month isn't meant to bring down pride month it's meant to help men who are struggling with mental health because culturally men are expected to tough up and just not give a shit about themselves which isn't right. Then as a man who struggled with mental health and attempted to kill himself before having something as simple as men's mental health month helped me a lot because it shows you're not alone and you matter. I'm making a post to support all causes in June you probably haven't heard and if I have personal experience with it
Scoliosis awareness month : so I actually have moderate scoliosis people typically don't think much about it but it heavily restricts peoples live and is extremely diverse live every medical disability out there for example my friend has very severe scoliosis has to use a cain can't bend over has to wear a brace and is at constant risk of a pulmonary embolism and or death. But some people are still heavily affected by it in other ways such as simply living with someone with it can affect you.
Then there Juneteenth which is I have no experience with because I am white and know few black people but I support and respect it very much.
The pride month which I'm not explaining because everyone talks about it.
Then their men's mental health month Which includes all men such as gay Men trans men feminine men masculine men or any man in general. And as a man who has had mental health struggles such as suicidal thoughts attempted suicide along with having to deal with being an masculine man who enjoys many manly things but every man matter and every life does too
