I like how the anime added filler to expand on what the manga showed of Tenten’s experience inside the Infinite Tsukuyomi. The Road To Ninja film made the prototype of this genjutsu an alternate universe; it was great to go back to such a fun world in Shippuden. Making Tenten the character to visit it is a nice twist and her interactions with the alternate Neji there are both bittersweet and heart-wrenching. These episodes do a great job of exploring her underlying feelings on Neji’s death, revealing deep down how earnestly she wishes he were still alive and the deep regret she harbours that she wasn’t able to save him. It also means that in another universe Neji survived and they were able to have a future together. The fact that the anime team had Neji interact with Tenten so much out of all the other characters speaks volumes - especially in the screenshot above where he stands in such close proximity to her and places his hands on her shoulders while saying she is the reason he is alive.
