I prefer to think that Connor was created to be one way but once out in the world, that fell apart. Hence his confusion when his integration protocols fail to endear him to Hank at first, because hey, this is what he was built for, so why isn't it working? Is he the failure, or is it CyberLife?)

but like i don't believe these people care at all about what the director and writer of the game said (which only confirms the very obvious familial subtext within their dynamic). they are the kind of people to ship two male characters just because they interact a lot and they find it hot to imagine their faves go at it. no "anderfam is canon" statement will change their minds, they are living in their own little delusional bubble and i think the more people who support anderfam interact with them and give them attention, the more they think their point of view is relevant, when it's really just easier to digest for fandom dwellers who are used to stereotyped mlm dynamics hence its “popularity.” like if they like that shit and want to be loud about it i don't see the problem. i know i am loud about what i like.
