i have so many regrets

Yeah Dr House would probably call me a slur and ransack my house without my permission and interrogate me and I’ll probably be put on 20 different medications in the span of six hours but Dr House would also believe that I’m genuinely in pain

in the season 4 christmas episode, House makes a big deal to Wilson about how gifts say a lot about the gifter, about how well they know the person their giving a gift to, how much they care. (Wilson also says he gave Julie cash to buy herself a scarf for their last anniversary, proving he didn't know or care for her all that much)

I feel the need to mention, later in the s4 episode, at the hospital get-together, Wilson asks what House got for Christmas, not pushing when House doesn’t mention the gift Wilson got him. Almost as if he thinks House doesn’t want to talk about it in public. Why, after everything in their relationship is basically a soap opera for the nurses, would Wilson just accept that House wants to keep this under wraps? He’s under the impression that House opened the gift, given his surprise the next year, but they never talk about this perfect, if a little boldly wrapped, gift.

I present to you: house getting his ass beat for 1 minute straight

I personally think that House was a very polite but anger-repressed kid because of his dad. The moment he went to med school, he started acting out and doing what he wanted(entering the cheerleader club, etc), but then realized nothing really brought him joy like puzzels and has been constantly angry about it. And then, when he met Wilson, he realized some things could bring him joy.
