Regarding Deltagloom
Hello, everyone. I thought Iβd officially do an update here on the state of this blog. I know two months of hiatus isnβt the longest period Iβve gone for when I run blogs like this, but the truth about this project is- as much as I loved and was excited for it- Its creation, as well as its first session, happened to fall right in the exact time frame that I suffered a very close death in the family.
At the time, I thought running the first session would still be good- I had the energy for it and it kept my mind occupied after I had to spend the entire weekend doing funeral prep. The first session was a great experience for me. I was overjoyed, as always, that people gave me and my art an honest chance. However, as the weeks went by, asset prep for the next session slowed, and I realized that as of right now, this project has become intrinsically tied with those weeks of pain and suffering and grief, and I really started to feel that every time I would pick up my tablet pen to work on it.
Iβm still feeling the ripples of that loss even now. A large part of my life has been consumed with helping my family members sort out all the things my beloved relative left behind. Between that and my last year of uni, I unfortunately donβt see a future where I get back to this format for Deltagloom in a timely manner- if at all.
If youβre curious about any behind the scenes stuff I have, feel free to shoot me an ask. Iβd love to revisit this AU in earnest someday, perhaps even in a different format, but as of right now, itβs just become entangled in a really tough period of my life for me.
Iβm taking it easy, and focusing on slowly coming back to doing the art and creative writing I love. But for now, Iβve got to close the curtain on this blog. Thank you for a great experience, however short.
