Scheduled for June 26-29, crossing with the anniversary of the start of filming for It: Chapter One, the goal is to spread the word of this ship from Welcome to Derry by creating fanworks.

I'm talking fics, I'm talking fanart, I'm talking AMVs, playlists, what have you. Also, tagging with some variant of "Rolly Weekend" (#rolly weekend on Tumblr; #RollyWeekend on BlueSky; Rolly Weekend under "Additional Tags" on AO3; etc) will help with sorting.

Also, a note: While this show IS rated TV-MA, please keep in mind that these are tween characters, played by actual kids. There is a fine line (of course, there's been middle school-typical dialog within the show itself), but don't cross it by getting too explicit.

Friday, June 26: No-It AU

What if It never landed on the spot that eventually became Derry? Basically, what if all these characters It killed didn't die? What if investigating It weren’t what brought Ronnie and Lilly together? And, how different would the town be? Would it be just as shitty? Less? More!?

Saturday, June 27: Post-1962 Cycle/Rolly during other Cycles

How about a reunion? What if they came back during the 1989 and/or 2016 Cycle? Or, even if not, how would they have interacted with the Losers, anyway? Would they have? What about off-Cycle years? Where were they during 11/22/63?

Alternatively, what if they lived during other Cycles? What if Ronnie and Lilly were contemporaries of the Losers’ (as the former was, in the book)? Or kids in 2016? Why not go back in time? Bradley Gang? Kitchener Ironworks? Earlier?

Hell, what about other continuities? What if Ronnie wasn’t just some background victim in the book (side note, I think her age in the book still places her birth year around the same as in the show)? What about the miniseries?

Sunday, June 28: Full genre transplant

Send them to space, have them in a fantasy world, make them superheroes, for all I care. Hell, put them in another piece of media! Jedi AU? Sure. Middle-Earth? Why not? Send them to ’Salem’s Lot to fight vampires, even! Or, pivot the other way and put them in a more mundane story. What if they lived in River City when Harold Hill showed up? Or a western? Christmas romcom?

Monday, June 29: Finally, free day!

This is your sandbox. You wanna write a coffee shop AU? Go ahead. Wanna fill in a gap in the story ore even rewrite the whole show? Do it. Or, maybe, you just want to revisit a past theme? I’m not gonna stop you.

Since this is a wishlist, I'm focusing on what I want, not on the rumors.

Remakes:

Paper Mario 64 — Look. The Thousand-Year Door remake came out in its 20th anniversary year. This is the 25th anniversary year for PM64. Same engine as TTYD, cross-gen, w/ S2 enhancements.

The Legend of Zelda: The Hyrule Fantasy — Yeah, I know; I know. Everybody's talking the OoT remake rumors (another one?), but I think we are long overdue for remakes of the NES titles. We haven't had any; the closest being the Japan-only Satellaview game and the development origins of the Oracle duology. Start with Z1 (subtitled The Hyrule Fantasy); AoL in a couple years. S1, w/ minor performance enhancements on S2.

Switch 2 Editions:

Backyard Baseball — BEGGING. Please. This game comes out in A MONTH, and we only have word on a past-gen version for this point-and-click game. And, that demo is simply not working on my computer, now matter how low I put the settings.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream — Again. BEGGING. This game is in desperate need of mouse controls. For anything else, see below:

Updates and DLC:

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream — New features, such as more freedom with shapes in the Palette Shop. More stores, and regular treasures can now be bought, while food can be sold. Also facepaint will be fixed, so it adheres to the face (bonus points if 3D painting is added, at least in a S2 version). Also, PLEASE add online features, even if just with friends only; THIS WAS NOT A PROBLEM WITH…

Animal Crossing: New Horizons — Not 4.0, but something minor, albeit substantial.

Mario Kart: World Tour DLC — Give us a reason to play this, again.

Star Fox — I mean, there's gotta be something.

The Legend of Zelda movie — teaser trailer and Ganondorf casting announcement (also the official Impa casting announcement).

Pokémon Winds and Waves — Not much in the Direct, but a Pokémon Presents will likely soon follow.

And! One more thing:

In E5, there’s a flashback early on that is repeated later in the episode. This also features in E6’s recap (and possibly E7-8’s, as well; I skipped those).

In E6, the same body horror element appears in the same scene as the creepy crawlies. Without spoiling too much, it starts with some anesthesia.

EDIT: I just learned that the body horror element also briefly appears in the opening. I hadn’t noticed it any of the eight times I watched it, but just something to keep in mind.
