cryptid/non human sanji has become my favorite version of sanji ever since I read anti-unsurvival instincts by the amazing 3rdlayerofgneiss on ao3. this fic had me thinking about cryptid sanji and gas station worker zoro 24/7 which I must say is such an interesting and creative au to write about. i literally read every single one of 3rdlayerofgneiss' works while waiting on updates for the fic and I can tell right now that I am in love with each and every fucking work on that account

sanji and zoro do NOT hate each other, i have never–in my time of watching op ever thought that so i'm always befuddled when i hear stuff like that cuz to me they've always cared about eachother. and sure, they might act like they don't care about the other's well-being but every time sanji thinks zoro is actually in trouble, he visibly worries and vice versa. we see this in–probably the most used arc when talking about them–thriller bark, when sanji gets injured after attacking kuma and we can just see the absolute panic and concern on zoros face, also in water 7 when sanji goes ahead of the crew to find robin and zoro is genuinely worried, because he previously faced off against CP9 and he KNEW how dangerous they were or in fact let's go back further in baratie, during zoros fight with mihawk, when they weren't even crewmates yet, sanji is obviously fearing for zoros life and telling him to give up on his dream just so he can live. i really don't get how ppl can watch these scenes and more and say that they hate each other because it's so fucking obvious that they don't, id even go as far to say that they're friends. friends who find fun in fighting. hehe, tongue twister.
