Sometimes I feel so desperate to convey that We Rotten Few is like, first and foremost a story about finding yourself when you thought all hope was lost. Cause like people will open it expecting a hurt/recovery fic and go "oh this is horror."

nami and chopper: crying their eyes out because a man who has known almost nothing but betrayal and pain and violation for so long and is near death and whose survival hinges on whether or not he decides to let them help him, made the decision to live, no matter the reason, which means there is hope for him and they dont have to sit back and watch him die, which was an eventuality they were preparing to have to face- and then he goes and comforts and worries about THEM because he still has no idea how much is means that he is alive, how loved he is

Does Robin's backstory in this AU still correlate to her having a history of lowkey suicidal ideation? If it does I feel like our "I want to live" girliepop is gonna be eager to sink her teeth (affectionately) into the mindset of Blackleg "would rather die than be touched ever again both emotionally or physically" Sanji even if he is a little rude to Chopper

yay thank you for letting me bind wrf!! i wanted to ask whether you consider the fic having arcs that could make it easier to divide the story into tomes? because the fic is so long and i wouldn't be able to do it in only one book, i will have to divide it and while i have some ideas, i'd rather have your opinion as the author first. i hope this question makes sense lol

The funniest thing to me about WRF isn't that I created an elaborate magical system to torment a blonde man. It's that some people can't cast spells at all, but this isn't a huge nerf if you really think about it.

ok so here's the thought here's the idea... i imagine zoro could see the sort of Magical Residue Trail left behind by sanji, may have had an idea of where he might've run off to, but kept it steadfastly to himself. maybe he's still pissed that he ran away while half dead, but he still wants to allow him his own choices, especially after all the autonomy he's been robbed of recently.

The whiplash from Zoro hiding his swords and muttering "Square one" under his breath to Sanji grabbing his ankle and telling him, "I didn't mean you," and closing out with Sanji revealing to Zoro that he remembered something about Zoro's preferences—Zoro really is fighting for his life out here.
