i do think another music revolution is possible someday, but i honestly don’t think it’s happening with the current generation. it feels like too many artists are looking backward instead of forward. rather than creating something completely new, it feels like a lot of people are trying to recreate what previous generations already did. because of that, it doesn’t feel like there is a solid movement that is changing music in the same way past generations did. there is also a lot of insecurity coming through. it almost feels like this generation is constantly comparing itself to the artists that came before it, which makes it harder to take creative risks. instead of trusting their own ideas and building something original, there is a tendency to chase trends, follow what is already working, or worry too much about how they’ll be received. another thing is ego. some artists are more focused on competition, proving themselves, or protecting their image than actually pushing music in a new direction. this creates an environment where people are quick to blame others, avoid taking accountability, get caught up in industry drama, etc instead of focusing on the art itself.
