best series in a long time.. loved every minute. 

finale was good. happy ending for everyone. although i wanted siu see to go with alan, but it makes sense that she hadn't gotten over her husband yet. it's a stretch for alan to get back with dan dan though - after hating her so much?!

always rmbr ep 24 when siu see's husband died. the acting was superb - the pain felt from not being able to cry and then breaking down finally. her dad's monologue about love.. so sad. cried a river throughout that episode. and then in the following ep, loved the scene with siu see and the lai lai yelling at each other in the hospital. "I really hate you" "I also really hate you!"

just really top notch acting by the entire cast!! from siu see to julie.. really embodied their characters!! big 6 girl.. and then my favs Jenny (so pretty!!) and Yuen Chau. Both young and old versions.. amazing. I would love to meet the cast..

so obsessed with this show. love the fresh young cast and this catchy theme song. end theme is good too! 

love the melody, lyrics and perfect match between mag lam and shirley kwan! voice is so chills!

also got me into the 80s Alan Tam songs mood when they play at flashback scenes. 

I find the older cast acting too exaggerated, especially Cyndi (Kong Yan Yin) & Dan Dan (Flora Chan). Out of the older women, I like Fennie and Cheung Wai Yee's character/look the most; Loletta/Rachel Lee is okay. Surprisingly, the young cast acting is very good; most of them I'm watching for the first time. In particular I like Anjaylia, Cheronna and Venus' acting the most - really portray the character well and they are pretty! Also, Cheronna & Jeannie aren't super thin/petite like typical HK girls so I"m surprised; it is quite different/fresh to see on screen and I guess there is a difference coming from Canada. 

I feel like with this genre/storyline you either like or hate it cos it may feel cheesy to some. I like the story because the nostalgia/friendship/hs storyline is so naive and relateable. Also, it resonates with women (even men) at all stages/classes of life and the common theme of change. Being carefree girls with dreams, girls just wanna have fun mindset at that young age. Then 28 years later, everyone is at different paths - housewife trapped by mother in law and obnoxious daughter; "pretty" one without family/job that cares about marriage/money; the used-to-be-pretty one now have to take care of her elderly mother and longs for a man's company; the divorced public figure who is the siu 3; the fat one, although married, is lacking the husband's affection; and the now-crazy one with nothing but a dance studio and her undying dream. The common theme is that they are all lacking & longing for love - whether they are single or married, as well as in siu see's case, to be recognized and able to be her true self. 

For the male lead, I love Lawrence Ng!
