Happy Pride to the ship that opened my eyes to queerness
It also made me realize that there was more to the world of fanfiction than canon straight relationships.

My mom just recently watched Hannibal for the first time. When she was done we talked about it and she said 2 things:
1) she didn’t like how it ended, said it felt unfinished
2) Hannibal and Will were very very gay
And obviously I had to agree with both points
I love when other people have the same intersecting interests as me. Cause what do you mean I just read a fic where Shane Hollander and Prince Henry were friends and text each other?

Here it is for anyone else interested

See, I don’t mind reading normal books in first person because it’s a character we don’t know yet and we can see into their brain. But with fanfic? Third person is the way to go. Especially for a show (which most fanfic is based on). But if the original source material is a book in first person, I would say it’s acceptable.
Me when Zukka is becoming popular but I’ve been onto them since day one it just means there will be more fandom content of them now
A conversation my sister and I just had
Her: do you think they celebrate Mother’s Day in the omegaverse?
Me: I’m sure they do
Her: what would they call it? Omega’s day? No because not all omegas have kids and betas have kids too
Me: you’re right 🤔
Her: Birth day? Oh wait ha no 🤣
Me: well I’ve seen them use “Dam” and “Sire” when talking about parents since it’s gender neutral in some fics
Her: Ooooh so like Dam day and Sire day instead of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day? That works
Me: hmm yeah
see, mine and my cousin's question isn't whether or not they celebrate mother's day, but rather whether or not they differentiate between male omegas and female omegas, the inherent connotations of mother vs father, etc. we've ultimately come to the conclusion that it depends on the author's specific universe, much like the terminology surrounding the day. i especially enjoy the thought of this in universes where authors make male omegas something of a rarity or fluke, because this implies a female majority where mother only refers to women and thus "mother's" day still fits. but then you get to have fun in-universe discourse about "mother's" day being an appropriate term because "male omegas exist guys, not everyone who gives birth is a mother," which of course unleashes even more arguments in the comment section of some poor 20-year-old's happy mother's day post regarding the validity of male omegas and how "wouldn't they be fathers anyways?". it's fun to think about because this type of discourse would be irrelevant in an a/b/o universe where all humans who give birth are seen as mothers and male omegas are common, etc and so forth.
. . . why yes, i am in way too deep. thanks for noticing.
Wonderful and insightful addition. I also love to think about political and social logistics of the omegaverse in my free time. This is the kind of brain stimulating conversations people need to be having I’m telling you.
Some sketches of my ocs since I haven’t posted art in a while 😁

what’s crazy about this ordeal is people being adamant in being absolutely in the wrong here. these kind of things used to be so secretive and you had to find your little corner but this new wave of fandom behavior just does not understand that there is a boundary, it’s like breaking the fourth wall. but instead of there being a wall, they just have a glass house without the glass even what are they doing justifying that in any way! fandom etiquette has truly gone to shit and watching this from afar shocks me even more because where is the common sense
THIS!! Like, I didn’t put in the work in the trenches for people to go running straight on the front lines butt naked.
People don’t understand the rules of fanfiction, especially rpf and it SHOWS. Like seriously people, if you engage in rpf, do not do it where they would find it. Block them if your account on instagram or TikTok or twitter is dedicated to it. This is not me hating on rpf in itself because it can be okay and respectful most of the time. But other times, it’s ridiculous. As someone who engages with rpf regularly, I will not be caught DEAD exposing that to the artist or celebrity that it’s about. My hobbies are for my own enjoyment, not to make someone shocked or uncomfortable. Some of you need to just sit back and observe before you post anything so you can understand the unspoken rules of fandom culture. It took me years of observation before I started to engage. Get your act together you’re making us look bad.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY BROUGHT THEM BACK JUST TO KILL THEM. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE WAS A SLEAZY MF LIKE WE ALL THOUGHT. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE PARALLELS ARE THAT FREAKING APPARENT omgggggg 911 what are you doinggggggg

Sometimes I worry that there actually is a fbi agent watching my phone but then I realize that Idgaf. What are they gonna do? Use the stuff I read on ao3 for world domination? Sure, I bet reading about the gut wrenching lives of Destiel in every universe would give the boring people a nice change of pace. They are learning how to write wonderful gay/lesbian smut so good for them I guess. Unless they use my info for omegaverse propaganda, I think I’m good.
My roommates are in the process of watching Supernatural for the first time and it’s so funny watching them realize I wasn’t lying about the cosmic level of gayness that is Destiel. We just finished episode 3 of season 5
I think the consensus is:
