May Masterpost Challenge 3/20
End goal: to make 20 masterposts by the end of the month // credit
I am starting a 4 or more masterpost mini-series about graphics/printables!!! (Imma gonna space them out ofc so Iβm doing one every week)This is for my design people *waves at invisible crowd* Β Of course this is basically a five minute crash course so it wonβt include all the details but you will understand the basic by the end. Β

Fonts come in 2 formats. OTF and TTF.
Itβs more complicated than this, but for all us common folks with absolutely no knowledge of diy typeface, we can use either one and there is no notable difference.Β
How to install each: Download/open file/install done!Β
They are basically letters with little feet at the ends. Times New Roman is a good example. For big long body of works, serifs are easier to read because the letter are so distinctive.
Letters without the small feet. Like Arial. Sans Serif is used a lot on tech/blog Β because it looks modern + looks good even when pixel quality is crap. My personal fave is Muli (Itβs a google font and makes my heart sing.)

+ Dafont.com: The ultimate/problematic fave. LOTS of free fonts, just hard to find good quality ones.But still SO. MUCH. FONTS.Β
+ Behance: Powered by Adobe, it is an amazing website that has really high-quality fonts. But be careful, not all the fonts there are free.
+ Font Squirrel : Hand-picked high-quality font free for commercial use?! Yes please!
+ Free Design Resource: This is where I go when I want to search icons/mockups in addition to fonts! The fonts there are sooo pretty!
Font Family are basically variations of font. They come in italic/bold/extra bold/black/regular/light/light italic. Those comes with wildly popular fonts and are helpful when you want variety as well as some consistency.(looks good in font combos as well!
Free fonts are wide and varied. Itβs hard to find good quality ones so Iβm including some links here so you can weed out the bad from the good. (xΒ x)
