She-Ra x Wings of Fire AU
This is some old Artwork stuff from 2024-2025 if my memory serves me right. This is mainly a small "Joke Au but I take it semi-seriously cause it's so good" type of thing, plus I was in my She-Ra phase and watching the show a lot.
When I first made this, I was thinking how unfair it was how girls of the DoD were all royalty and the guys got nothing, so I joked about Clay being The Princess of Power, drew this and thought that was that, a simple little joke of Clay being Adora from She-Ra.
Little did I know, I actually enjoyed this despite it being a one-off joke for myself! I sat there thinking "okay, if this was an actual Au, who would be who?" Obviously Clay HAS to be Adora cause he's slaying that outfit and Peril fits Catra really well in my opinion.
I did have the thought of Whiteout as Mara and Darkstalker + The Breath of Evil is Horde Prime, which means there's a bunch of Darkstalker clones which I find funny.
Scorpia no matter what I always round back to her being Blaze, probably cause I want to give Blaze the attention she deserves but also because Blaze fits Scorpia rather well to me?
Deathbringer is Seahawk for obvious reasons cause like... come on. For Mermista I have debated it being Glory cause, 1. I don't want it to be Tsunami as I enjoy avoiding giving her Water Powers and 2. The dynamic between Seahawk and Mermista remind me of Glorybringer a lot? Course it always could be fun to fill Mermista's role with someone else, though at the moment I thought of this AU I've defaulted for Glory.
Double-Trouble is Chameleon cause, again, obvious reasons. Shadow Weaver I've debated her being Scarlet or Kestrel cause of what happens with Shadow Weaver, on one hand Scarlet is SOOO fitting but Kestrel also seems so fitting!!
More of the old She-Ra x WoF art, based off a scene where Adora meets Mara but its Clay and Whiteout. I intentionally redesigned Clay's She-Ra Form to match how Adora had a new leveled up She-Ra Form in that season.
Some neat things is when I designed the Sword of Power, I based it purely on the Eye of Onyx and, since the WoF Dragons don't have hair, I opted for giving them golden light growth from their horns and spines that make them longer as if light constructs.
If I had to redraw this, I would give Clay ram horns, when I first drew this I was still in the stages of figuring out my personal design for the WoF Characters, but lately I've figured out what traits and designs I like for when I draw the canon characters.
Peril is just, cool as hell and Catra just feels REALLY fitting for her. I find it very funny how I ended up making Clay and Peril both the main line characters like I did with my TLoS x WoF Au, this isn't even on purpose, they just fit the characters so well in my head that this kind of happens??
If I drew more of this, I would LOVE to draw a mini comic of Catra's "Some people have a bad day, I've had a bad life." scene with Peril crashing out at that desert bar, and what's best is I can SEE how I'd draw it. Like how Catra slammed her claws on the counter and claws it leaving claw marks, for Peril she'd leave the same claw marks but with trickles of small flames and a scorched surface where she touched and MAN it makes me wish I knew how to animate at times.
Course I don't got much of a story in my head for this, I mainly assume that the Wings of Fire characters just take the places of the characters from the show, Clay as Adora, Peril as Catra, etc, etc.
I don't think I'll end up drawing more of this, maybe, we'll see if it hooks onto me again. Though I wanted to share this Au idea in case anyone took interest and helped them spark some ideas.
If you can't tell, I love crossover AU's, they're just... so damn fun. Whether they're one offs, silly jokes, or serious crossover aus, they're all fun to me!
