I know we're all just reeling about how bad that was in general, but can we take a moment to talk about how next-level the queerbaiting actually was? Supernatural will never have anything on this. Five seasons teasing that both characters are queer until finally outing one of them at the eleventh hour as both gay and in love with the other, making very intentional cinematographic and writing choices to frame them as romantically-coded, literally starting a reciprocation arc in the final season, teasing relentlessly about it interviews, making an entire fucking radio station to promo the final season that did nothing but drop hints about these two characters getting together, mystery merch that never ended up in the show but pointed towards their connection being important to the resolution, a promise that these two characters spend the bulk of their time together at the end.... This is just the beginning of the list, but this is outright maliciousness. It goes way past ignorant negligence. This is a fucking hate crime, honestly. I refuse to believe they really didn't know what they were doing. I was one of the last people to believe byler would really be canon because I've been studying queer representation in media for decades and I know how this story goes. But volume 1 of season 5 set it up so clearly that even I *knew* it had to be endgame. This was no Destiel, no Johnlock, no Stucky. This was on an entirely different level. And I hope there are consequences, because there should be. We should not let this go quietly into the night as just another 'too bad, what did we expect' breach of trust. I don't know what to do right now, but I feel like there's a call to arms coming, and I want to be at the forefront of it.

or the s1 will going through the horrors after being ostracized for his queerness… be honest

the "he's my first boyfriend" and "stupid, so stupid" contrast always gets me

sometimes listening to music that reminds me of them or just seeing blue and yellow next to each other makes me giggle like a schoolgirl in love
