syd kisses dina, lets her know about her feelings and dina, as it seems to us, the audience, rejects her, so we all believe that sydina endgame is NOT happening and syd's feelings are unreciprocated

will comes out to everyone, lets mike know abt his feelings for him (i think duffers said somewhere that mike clocks it in the coming out scene) and it ALSO makes us, the audience, think that will's love is unrequited and byler WON'T be endgame

now, as i recall (i may be wrong), dina told syd that her feelings are reciprocated in the last episode. even if not in last, the episodes in the series are like 20 minutes long, so my point still stands: it was at the very end, when everyone were already sure that dina doesn't like syd back.

also, don’t forget that st writers’ fav ship is korrasami, which became endgame in the last episode of the series
