Lestat is definitely the type of person who would make the first move IF he were sure he was loved. With Louis, it makes perfect sense that he always waited for him to make the first move (physically, at least). After 3x07, I do think we could expect him to be a little less afraid of rejection and more confident in Louis's love.
That said... I have to admit that even after Season 3, I personally still need Louis to make a lot of the first moves. For example, I really think their next kiss should be initiated by Louis. Even though Louis made so much progress in 3x06 (he was expressive, open, and emotionally vulnerable) he still struggles to fully express his love, especially verbally.
And Lestat, who is basically the embodiment of love, really deserves to receive love in every possible form: physically, verbally, and through actions. I know Louis will become more and more expressive over time. I mean, in the books, he eventually says things like, "My heart is yours" and "I love you with my whole soul." 🥺🥺
I really do hope the show includes Louis verbally telling Lestat that he's loved. It is needed.
