have you considered that maybe the unstoppable force is in love with the immovable object?
maybe the reason one refuses to stop and the other refuses to move is because they both long for the collision
i'm Ry! (she/her) your resident tragic character enjoyer and doomed by the narrative enthusiast, and this is my little corner of the internet where i will yap about one of my specific interest: tadc

idk how Ragatha is the people pleaser and "fake sincere" when she's the one who's been consistently calling out Jax from the beginning. and not just for herself, she has constantly defended everyone else from him but somehow that makes her "fake".
meanwhile, Pomni is apparently the one who can handle Jax and yet, she just enables his shitty behavior and keeps making excuses for him. the only time she gets mad at him is when he starts acting rude to HER specifically.
and Jax is somehow more "real" than Ragatha because he's an asshole to everyone. because don't you know kindness and positive feelings are for children? real adults bully everyone and talk like emo edgelords when provoked /s
Ragatha's crimes, as the show presents them and her reasoning behind each (as close to canon as I can go with a character that is so obviously overlooked) were:
- Trying to hype Pomni up for the Candy adventure. Her reasoning: Pomni had just gone through a horrible first day on the Circus and Ragatha wanted to try and make the situation more comfortable even if awkwardly. Ended up being accused of sounding condescending towards Pomni.
- Told Gangle that she is kind of annoying when she has her happy mask on. Her reasoning: Not only was Ragatha under the influence of the Stupid Sauce, Gangle had been acting a whole lot more controlling to the others ever since the adventure started. Ended up being accused of telling Gangle to kill herself.
- Said "Not anymore" when Pomni asked Jax if he even had real friends on the Digital Circus. Her reasoning: Although unclear, the show implies that perhaps she is talking about herself instead of his deceased friends, she ends up apologizing regardless of what she meant to say. Ended up being accused of bringing up his abstracted friends to his face.
- Yelled at both Jax and Pomni after an argument with Jax, Pomni getting caught in the verbal fire for trying to calm Ragatha down. Her reasoning: Jax had been pulling her leg previously in the same episode, specifically flaunting his friendship with Pomni as a way to taunt Ragatha, and Pomni had just said that she is "allowed" to be mean sometimes. All of that paired up with her frustration of failing at the softball game that she clearly wanted to play as she was the one who suggested it (and also being mocked by the Evil version of herself and Pomni), Ragatha ended up snapping at them both. Ended up being perceived as just as bad as Jax at the end of the episode by the show itself and the fandom, creating the narrative that her and Jax are opposite sides of the same coin- In equal measure "bad" and "good" and complex victims of their own doing.
-A minor crime we could consider is also her fake laughing at Kaufmo's jokes, which is something she clearly feels guilty for and assumes he would hold a grudge against her for it, but that being said, it's implied by the other characters that although Kaufmo was very dear to them, no one seemed to like his jokes all that much.
Ragatha's actions and choice of words, as the show presents them, are honestly really mild and awkward decisions, that are often described as more intense than they really are, characters making them seem worse then they were intended to be (Jax affirming that she told Gangle to kill herself, Pomni accusing her of assuming she was a child-)
Everything Ragatha does gets put under this idea of her positivity being just as forced as Jax's negativity, being just as unhelpful and disingenuous- Despite the fact the canon doesn't bother with showing us how her "fake" positive negatively impacts the other members of the cast. In fact, we constantly see how it negatively affects herself, instead!
It makes everyone distrust her or avoid her in some way, it's no wonder she ends her OWN EPISODE all alone as she looks at everyone leaving her behind.
Zooble never expresses any personal opinion on Ragatha, it leaves us to interpret that they don't really interact all that much. The show doesn't think a "punk who defies authority and stands up against it" and a "Good Girl™ who bows her head fervently to any authority because she knows how much it'll hurt if she doesn't do that" is an interesting character dynamic.
Gangle said that she likes her and we are aware that they've known each other for a while, but Gangle also said that she struggles with trusting Ragatha sometimes. It's clear that they can get along, they seem to be friends most of the time, but the show doesn't really care about developing their potential dynamic as two people with mental and emotional disorders that heavily impact how they see themselves and how they interact with their small group- Specially considering they're both significantly affected by the same person in their friend group.
Pomni is new here, and immediately dislikes the way Ragatha acts, and it takes her a while to get used to Ragatha. Even when they're getting along on later episodes she still finds the things that Ragatha says and does uncomfortable (Pomni and everyone else didn't react at all to Ragatha confessing to having an abusive mother; Pomni didn't like Ragatha's attempt at a self deprecating joke; etc-) Maybe it's because she doesn't like when people treat her as a kid? Or maybe she had bad experiences with people like Ragatha before?? Maybe Pomni is projecting on Ragatha being fake and weird because Pomni is also a people-pleaser, but doesn't recognize it/pretends she isn't one??? Again, we can only make assumptions.
Kinger, the goat that he is, spends most of the time not being entirely all there... He adores Ragatha, genuinely! He is always there for her but most of the time he isn't in the right headspace to help her feel better.
And then there's Jax, who is implied to have a past relationship with Ragatha, but that bridge got burned as soon as Ribbit abstracted. Who treats her sometimes arguably even worse than how he treats Gangle, given that he has ""physically"" hurt Ragatha (with the full intent to cause harm, btw) more often than Gangle. (off the top of my head, I can only remember him hitting the ball on Gangle's mask, and it seems like it genuinely was an accident). He gets easily offended by her and will literally unload a gun if she ever gets the upper hand for even a second, obviously we know she never gets severely hurt by his actions because they're in a digital world (then again, apparently Caine has implemented ways for the characters to feel certain sensations, so honestly what the fuck-) but even then- His actions just prove to her constantly how much he hates her, and for what reason?? We're not sure yet, but I don't think anything Ragatha already did on the show could prove that she somewhat ""deserves"" his treatment of her.
It seems he doesn't like her forced positivity, despite giving her the "Always Cheerful" archetype, even though he KNOWS she isn't always cheerful. He doesn't like her to be always polite to everyone but god forbid if she accidentally hurt his ego.
He clearly hates the manipulative type of person who is just looking to take advantage of others- But his reasoning for starting to form a bond with Pomni is far from being entirely pure, given that he doesn't hesitate to rub in Ragatha's face their "budding friendship". I don't doubt he genuinely likes Pomni, I'm doubting if he didn't enjoy seeing Ragatha get excluded after all her effort to be friends with everyone through "false niceness", as he claims.
The worst part is that she is never fake. She doesn't pretend to like the people around her, she likes them a whole lot more than THEY like her. And honestly it pisses me off

Something I don't see enough people understand is that Ragatha didn't just arrive at a point where Kinger was alone for a bit, she was the FIRST HUMAN after the original group of developers. Look at what Caine says upon her arrival:
He wasn't hoping new mind would show up, he was hoping they could. He's not only excited that it happened, but that's it's possible. The original C&A employees were alone. No one new joined the circus while they were there. Ragatha was the first new person to EVER join.
That means that Ragatha has seen every person enter the circus aside from the original group.
