Trevor has been back in the boys’ lives for three days now, and Julie’s not entirely sure if she’s happy for them all that they’ve reunited, or sad that they don’t seem to need her as much anymore, but she is sure that she’s the worst friend in the world for being in a position where she actually has to think about it.

It’s a weird place to be in, really, to be so goddamn touched at the way their faces light up as soon as Trevor’s car pulls into the drive way, and yet to feel that awful sting in her chest when they peel off the sofa they’d been curled up with her on, in order to go greet their old friend

Reggie sighs and turns in Luke’s arms to face him. Luke leans forward to kiss Reggie’s nose, his smile playful even if his eyes are huge and full of concern. God but Reggie loves him. “I’m not going home for Christmas,” he admits eventually. “I don’t know what I’m doing, but… but not that.”

Luke frowns, and kisses Reggie’s forehead instead this time, having to lean up on tiptoes to do so. “Why don’t you come over to ours?”

in which Willie loves a ghost and almost damns all consequences.

Willie knows, he knows he shouldn’t get attached. Julie’s reminder isn’t necessary, though he feels warm at the thought that this girl he only met today—however long that today has been already—is showing concern for him. And he fucking knows it’s a terrible idea.

It’s so damn hard, though. It’s so fucking hard because Alex doesn’t feel like some demonic spirit—no matter how vivid the proof of the contrary is in Willie’s memory, no matter the fact that they’ve kidnapped Carrie, that they’ve been forcibly stripping them all of agency over and over again. Willie knows he shouldn’t even consider anything other than fury and hatred over what Alex and his friends have been doing to them.

And yet. And yet.

And yet, he can’t stop thinking about the parts that aren’t supernatural rage or twisted visions. He can’t stop thinking about the sobs, the all-encompassing sadness and fear that hollow him out over and over again. He can’t stop thinking about the image of Alex, soaked and bloodied, curled up on himself and screaming through his tears.

The skin there drinks the smudges of silver, leaving only a faint silver glow intermingling with the golden light of the girl’s skin. Slowly, the silver at her shoulders glows more brightly, burning through the soft fabric of her dress to leave two holes through which a pair of large, iridescent white wings unfurl. The wings continue to unfold—growing outwards as the girl shakes her riotous curls back from her face. She tips her face back towards the sky as the clouds finally begin to dissipate.

It is Julie and Luke’s first Christmas together in their own apartment and things are going great. Ray’s given them old ornaments and they have a tree ready to go- all that’s left is to complete their gingerbread house and decorate the tree. Though, with Luke Patterson, everything takes a much more energetic turn.

Still feeling the effects of his break up with Luke, Bobby finds himself in a slump with his art. His first ever gallery showing is in 2 weeks,  yet the inspiration is not flowing. He asked each of his friends to model for a different medium. While they are happy to help, all of them know the real reason he can’t create is because he lost his muse. 

This is my @jatpfs secret santa fic, and I’m so happy to announce that I have my dad @a-tomb-with-a-view whom I love and adore. Happy Holidays Meg, I hope you enjoy.

Ray knows Julie has been keeping secrets from him. And that’s fine; a sixteen-year-old should be entitled to keeping secrets, even though it’s nothing like from when Julie was in elementary school, telling him and Rose every single thing she did that day and every single thought she had running through her mind. Though now, Ray’s fairly certain that Carlos is also keeping things from him too, and that’s newer. He hadn’t really stopped telling Ray things, save for a brief time after Rose died when none of them were telling each other anything until they all broke down two days after the funeral, so this whole secret was more glaringly obvious than anything else.

The Price of Proper Persuasion-Chapter 2: Family is the heart of everything

His father’s office had practically become a second home ever since the betrayal, from disobeying curfew to attempts to contact rival families for meetings about cohesion and collaboration, Robert had practically filled in the bucket list of things to piss off your wealthy parents who have a hold on all your savings, assets and a view into almost every relationship you have out of paranoia that you’ll get screwed over or the family name will be destroyed forever.

The thing was: Robert had never been a bad kid, even at 13 he was polite to his peers, followed every order given to a T and associated with children of only the most wealthy and investable families in the area, with the Peters being one until he turned 16.

“Do you have any clue of the major spectacle you just pulled in that hall?” Mr Wilson spoke in a hushed tone, as if there was a crowd of spectators standing outside the door, “are you aware of how actions of that kind can destroy us?”

Reggie never thought of himself as handsome, that was Bobby’s thing, with sharp conversational skills and flawless style to match, a stark contrast to his frequently confused and slightly overenthusiastic nature with a side of now isn’t the right time to use comedy to cope.

To Robert Wilson though, Reggie Peters was a masterpiece.

“You forgot? How are we – I’m not prepared for this. We can’t do this,” Alex concludes, dropping his hand and leaning back in his chair.
