Welcome to the first official JATP Ficboard Challenge!
The Jatp Ficboard Challenge is a collaborative challenge where a team of two, an artist and a writer, work together to create fanworks. Each team will produce a fanfic (fic) and a moodboard (board). Teams will be matched up based on shared interests and preferences. First the artist will take the guidelines assigned, and create a moodboard of their preference. After the moodboard is complete, the author will write a fic using the moodboard as inspiration.
The sign up link is included at the bottom of this post. You will be able to sign up as an artist, an author, or both. During the sign up process, you will be asked to pick your top three ships (ex: Juke, platonic ships), genres (ex: fluff, mystery) and verse (ex: canon, au). Your preferences will help match you up with someone that shares the same interests. This helps to make sure that even if some aspects of the challenge are out of your control, you aren’t likely to have to work with something you aren’t interested in. After being matched up, each team will be assigned a ship, genre and verse (ex: Willex Mystery AU). We recommend each team discuss what their “No’s” are before moodboard’s are made. We want everyone to be comfortable but to still keep it a challenge.

What is the timeline?:
Signups: CLOSED August 8th
Teams announced: DONE August 15th
Moodboards Due: DONE August 22nd
Fics Due: September 22nd-September 28th
Is there a minimum or maximum word count?:
Nope, Authors are free to write as much or as little as they would like for this challenge. The only requirements are that it be finished by September 22nd, and it’s long enough to included each element from the moodboard. If you would prefer to write something shorter, make sure to let your artist know so they can plan accordingly with their moodboard.
