Marrok and Crow during the Clone Wars! (concept)
I am so unbelievably chuffed that so many people liked my Kage/Kaleesh theory, so I present: them as Jedi during the Clone Wars.
I kind of regretted making Marrok look older since a lot of people have pointed out that he has the demeanor of a younger person, despite seeming to be very experienced. I also loved the theory that he hides his face because he's scarred from Vader and ashamed, so making him look younger as a Jedi seems fitting. We don't know how the Kage age, but we know they canonically remember everything in their lives since birth (hyperthymesia), which goes perfectly hand-in-hand with psychometry, adding to his overarching bloodhound/detective theme.
Marrok's lightsaber is blue since he's more of a fighter, and it's designed off a traditional Kage sword hilt. He seems to prefer using only one blade until the second is needed, so I imagine he had one regular, single-bladed lightsaber as a Jedi. Crow feels more like a guard/sentinel (just his vibes ig) so I gave him a yellow one, with a hilt sort of based off Kaleeshi weapons. He seems to prefer using both blades regardless of circumstances, meaning he might have had a double blade as a Jedi as well.
I noticed Crow tends to take a hunched stance, despite being very tall, very similar to Grievous' fighting style. He makes this crepitus sound effect when he moves that I love, and I theorize it may be due to Imperial torture. He has what look like mechanical parts on his arms, and while they could be cybernetics, those wouldn't create a cracking sound, and I think the idea that he wears stabilizing armor or braces of some kind is very cool. He also wears a double cloak, and since Kaleesh are cold-blooded, it could be to help him regulate his body temperature/keep warm (weird buttons on his belt for adjusting the settings perhaps?).
TLDR: Crow has big scratchable ears and wears a heated blanket. No, I will not be taking questions on that.
