charmed for the TV asks!!
Favorite Male Character || Honestly, most of the men in this show either suck and/or are boring. I used to love Andy but as I've gotten older I realise I love Andy as a love interest for Prue and not for his own character (though I think if they'd have followed his pilot characterisation that would be different!) It's genuinely, probably Darryl who deserved so much better. Part of why I dislike the later seasons is because of his treatment. I really liked his dynamic with Andy, I then really liked what they were doing with him and Prue (he feels so much more redundant after her death, which I think is telling.) The scene where he tells her not to blame herself over Andy's death is really nicely done, I wish we'd have gotten more of that. He's too good for the sisters, they did him so dirty #justicefordarryl
Favorite Female Character || Prue and it isn't even close! My childhood blorbo, my ultimate character in anything ever... I remember watching the Paige seasons before the Prue ones but it's like my brain overrode that when I finally had access to them. I have little connection to anything past the midpoint of s4 while 1-3 are so precious to me, and a huge part of that is Prue. I love how sharp and intelligent she is, I love how she's driven to the point of her own destruction because that's so fun to break down. I love how she shouldered so many burdens as a young girl and was still having to unlearn that. It breaks my heart that she was so scared of dying young like her mother and then...
Least Favorite Character || Most love interests qualify but oh my god Dan, what a loser.
Favorite Ship || Prue/Andy, honestly by default at this point I really don't care about the other ships in this show.
Favorite Friendship || The core sister trio, when used correctly, is when the show is at its best. That goes for Prue/Piper/Phoebe and Piper/Phoebe/Paige (I am not a Paige hater even though I don't like her seasons! She's oftentimes the only decent part of an episode past s6!) I think the former, despite having less episodes, are way more fleshed out and given time to have those Big Sisterly Moments (though I did enjoy Piper struggling to accept being the big sister and letting Paige in.)
Favorite Quote || From the Woogy spell: I am light, I am one too strong to fight. I want that as a tattoo. I like how corny: 'it's the 21st century it's the woman's job to save the day' is, like yes this is my confused feminist show yay (also the hiding in the shower bit from the same episode omg Chick Flick what a classic!) I fucking adore the Death/Prue moments in Death Takes an Halliwell: 'I'm not good or evil. I just am. I am inevitable.' ugh! 'I've been mad at you for so long, ever since mom died, I don't know how else to be.' / 'You grieve... and then you move on.' UGH!
Worst Character Death (if any) || PRUDENCE! HALLIWELL! I started watching this show when I was, like, five or six years old and I'm now 28 and I'm still grieving.
This made me so happy you have no idea Moment || The whole of Chick Flick/Sin Francisco are my comfort episodes, you have no idea how much joy those two episodes bring. In terms of actual narrative I really loved when Andy was finally let into the loop (and he was kinda just like ...oh about it, because Prue was bullying him. Great dynamic.) When they allow Patty to attend Piper's wedding! That whole scene is so, so good!
Saddest Moment || Piper breaking down after being turned into Fury and screaming at Prue's grave has to be up there. Prue crying about not being able to save Andy too
Favorite Location || THE HALLIWELL MANOR someone take me to California right now I am being serious.
