DEFiNiTiON : A flag for regressors who are schizophrenic. Perhaps one's schizophrenia plays a role in or influences/affects one's regression although this does not have to be the case.

☀️ Trying To Beat The Summer Heat ☀️

being called away from playing for a glass of homemade lemonade. The crack of the ice cubes in the heat, the plastic cup that your caregiver reminds you to use both hands to hold so you don't spill.

waiting impatiently for the pool to fill up, splashing around with your feet in the water: it seems to take forever for the water level to rise

eating strawberries while you're picking them, flipping up the leaves to find the juiciest ones

your caregiver always carrying water in your favourite water bottle, reminding you to drink every so often

water fights!!! teaming up against your caregiver (they get the hose out and then you're really getting soaked!!!)

jumping over the sprinkler, the sudden relief of the cool water and the way it tickles your feet when you're in the air

your caregiver rubbing sunscreen on your arms while you try to sit still, but you can hear your friends laughing and you want to be playing with them!!

i'm not a big fan of addressing my caregiver with familial terms, but none of the non-familial terms i've seen appeal to me either. might as well call them chud and be their chudling (•⤙• )

Crying in the corner again. I feel like a bad kid

I don't mean to be a bad kid.

Mama who always has sensory toys in their bag to help ground their baby. Crinkly toys, spin gadgets or pain fidgets to help ground them via their hands or fingers.

Mama who always talks them through it and pulls them aside if the episode happens in public places. Quiet spaces work best to bring their baby back

Mama who talks to them in a firm voice to get them out of it, but no anger and no fear. Cause fear makes situations worse.

Mama who holds their hands tight and bear hugs them to reassure them that they are here and not in that dream state. Mama holds them and pats them to make sure they're able to notice that they're body is here, as well as their mind.

Mama who breathes with their baby and doesn't rush them so they know that they're safe and ok to go through it, even If it is scary.

Mama who has snacks to bring them back like sour candies or spicy foods.

Mama who coos and tells them that it's alright and gives them stuffies or comfort items after it passes.

Mama who doesn't discourage them from holding onto their items or them after. These episodes are super scary and babies need their mamas and/or stuffies.

Remember kiddos, derealization may be super scary, (I suffer from it so I totally understand how you guys feel!) But with the right items, words and coping mechanisms, it WILL pass! Even if it comes again n again. It will always pass. You are so much stronger than those icky episodes and feelings. And your mamas, papas and bubbas are always there to comfort you all. You are NOT a burden. And you give so much love to your caregivers, and they love you just as much!

idk if "outlier" is the right word... sometimes i feel like i'm not acting little enough, even though i know there's no such thing. it makes me wonder if there are cgs who are self-conscious about not fitting the softer, parental mold, despite being just as loving and caring as anyone else.

• outlier caregiver who lets you indulge in all sorts of junk food until you end up with a stomachache. don't worry, though, they'll whip up a homemade remedy and rub your tummy while you recover.

• outlier caregiver who doesn't believe in strictness or routines. on the rare occasions they do set a boundary, they'll simply explain it to you as an equal, trusting that you're smart enough to understand.

• outlier caregiver who gets a kick out of teasing you every now and then, but always knows exactly when to stop before actually upsetting you.

• outlier caregiver who loves snuggling up with you. they’ll hold you close, stroke your hair, and share a bunch of crazy stories about their life. that is, if neither of you ends up dozing off.

• outlier caregiver who encourages you to be more independent. they aren't afraid to let you take risks and are always ready to tell you how awesome you are for putting yourself out there.

• outlier caregiver who doesn't make a fuss if you get hurt while playing or trying something on your own, assuring you that a few scars would only make you look cooler.

• outlier caregiver who might seem a bit inattentive or careless, but is extremely in tune with your emotions. one glance is all it takes for them to know just what you need, sometimes even before you do.

• outlier caregiver who's so open-minded and never judgmental about your regression. they're willing to try anything to make you comfortable and frequently remind you that there's no shame in regressing.

• outlier caregiver who's actually very serious about their role and wouldn't trade your admiration for the world.
