Painting, Prose & Polytheism

Some memories from around this time last year.  Was painting at a little table outside of the France section of Frame in Disneyworld’s Epcot park!  Look forward to going back again in the future.  

Been spending a lot more time in regular praxis this year, something I struggled badly with during all the unforeseen struggles of 2022.  Tonight I honored all the Gods of my hearth cult and the Dagda for the first time.  I always forget how much better ritual makes me feel.

Finished a new shawl and played around with a few lip colors.  :D

Hoping to finally frame this piece soon and put it in my studio.  Really loved how this piece turned out.

Finally getting this illustration laid out onto watercolor paper.  Two of my characters from my writing, Cael and General Craven Tare.

I am collaborating with my tattoo artist to finish the rest of my forearm in March.  She loved my work and wanted to do something we both had a voice in.  So the piece is a devotion to the Goddess, Hel.  I wanted to draw her in a similar vein to the God art I created with Wolf the Red.  The figurative part is what I was supplying to my artist, the rest of the idea is adding hellbores, one of my favorite flowers (which I added a quick scribble of where plant placement might work?), and the artist is also going to do a Norse knotwork design.  I told her she can change whatever she thinks is best.  Super excited to see how this will end up after her contribution and it is finally inked on my arm!

Still my favorite piece I created for my friend, Wolf the Red’s YT merch.   I guess I might be a bit bias though, as Hel is one of the main deities in my hearth cult.  It was such a pleasure doing this God art project.
