ok my dudes i’ll give ya the sob story but first let me mention that finn is the sweetest guy i know and he’s gone through so much i really want him to have this one thing that’ll mean so much to him and improve his health mentally and physically.

if you don’t wanna read the story here’s the gofundme link! he’s raised most of the $2300CAD he needed, but he needs $375 more before the surgery in april.

last night my guy zac hosted a 12 hour fundraiser stream to help with the last $500~ that he needed, and we raised somewhere over $100 (i forget exactly how much) i was there i was clapping!!!

THE STORY THO;;; my guy finn is a 50-something year old trans man who came out later in life, many years back, most of which he was binding for: until his doctors told him he needed to stop for medical reasons (he has spinal issues that have left him on disability that i can’t remember the name of which make binding even more dangerous, and is, well, older).

the dysphoria he faces has made this hell for him for the past couple years, and he’s been wanting top surgery for so long. he finally is getting OHIP to cover part of it (the double mastectomy) but they don’t cover the chest contouring/masculinization that is pretty important to the final outcome (the way it looks) (that’s the part that costs $2300CAD).

since finn has been on disability and unable to work because of his physical health/disability, part of which is worsened by binding, he has been struggling to raise the funds for his surgery.

he is such a kind man who founded his own organization with a few others in ontario that helps local trans kids and loved ones find resources they need and get binders, start HRT, or find a way to provide transportation to medical appointments, counselling, and probably so many other things i’m forgetting. he helps so many people esp trans youth and i really want him to finally receive the help he needs!!!!!!
