Nina had just finished feeding and burping Rory, she now had her in a baby wrap on her as she cleaned up the dishes from breakfast. Hearing Jensen’s first sentence she dropped the fork she was holding back into the sink before she turned onto her heal. Bad habits, she could only imagine how this conversation was going to go. She always trusted him, or she at least did her best to. Nina knew that he treated her better than he did his ex-wives, but that didn’t mean the fear that he would slip back into those slightly toxic patterns wouldn’t happen again. “What did she text you?” She asked, her lower back resting against the counter as her head tilted to the side. Pure annoyance flashed along her features as she looked his face over, trying to read for any sign of a lie. Her lips pressed together in a fine line as he confirmed that he had only responded to her once. “Is she just trying to be friendly or is this Katie’s way of trying to see if she can get you back? We got two kids, Jensen. I don’t want to play this game.” She didn’t know Katie that well or if she was still interested in Jensen or not. But the last thing she wanted was to get dragged into this, for her daughters to get dragged in and getting hurt in the end.

Jensen pulled out his phone to show her the conversation. "She had wanted me to move to LA and I firmly said no. I dont know if she was trying to start a fight or what her intentions were. But no matter how conversation started in the past is would always end up leading to something it shouldn't. So I answered to be polite, I stopped replying and I told you first chance I got. Im not stupid enough to blow this up. Im not goin anywhere."
