Researching some ideas for my FMP. The first 2 photos are submissions from past years of the American Society for Microbiology Agar Art contest. Agar art is creating artworks by using of microorganisms as medium. The other 2 photos are iPad drawings by the digital artist David Hockney.

Day 16 of quarantine: Creative Bible Journaling. Art & Theology

As Christians and Jews begin their holiest week of the year, let us remember the meaning of âHolyâ (to âset apartâ in Hebrew). So, letâs set apart some time to remind ourselves that coronavirus may be ârulingâ now, but Godâs still wearing the crown đ and Heâs still in controlâŹ
Day 15 of quarantine: Practising realism (Work outside college hours)
Some people say realistic art is better than cartoonist or abstract, and others claim the opposite. I like them both, and I think that people shouldnât compare realistic art with abstract, and viceversa. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages. However, I personally think that realism has less freedom when creating, as it needs to capture reality as close as possible; and thus, it might not be better, but itâs harder than abstract art.

Day 13 of quarantine: Work outside college hours: Guggenheim Bilbao (Spain)_online
Today I started to âvisitâ museums that are offering collections/exhibitions online due to covid19. Iâve looked at Jeff Koons âTulipsâ (Photo 4), and Jenny Holzerâs âInstallation for Bilbaoâ (Photos 2 & 3). I can relate to Koons because he seems to create work based on personal experience and thatâs what I do. On the other hand, Holzerâs installation with text in different languages caught my attention because I plan to use text in the form of hashtags in different languages.
Iâve also started doing my reflections using an iPad, because I think that an online version of my Reflective Journal might be easier to share than the traditional way

FMP may not be compulsory anymore, but as a creative practitioner I should maintain my art practice and doing exercises like this one, which consisted in focusing on the SHAPES of the leaves đ đ #draweveryday #365daysofArt

Day 7 of #quarantinelife. Work outside college hours: a quick drawing of an idea for my Final Major Project.
Iâve designed a âhigh fashionâ mask đˇ for women inspired by the #Coronavirus. High fashion refers to one-of-a-kind pieces used in fashion shows, and are normally unwearable for daily use.,, If I had to make this, I would make the eye part with a clear plastic to protect the eyes, and an earphone-like protection for the ears also. Photo 2 could work as a mask for daily use. Photos 3 & 4 more for catwalk use
Day 55 of UAL Programme in Art and Design: Planning/Drawing some ideas for FMP
Today Iâve done a #watercolour pencil drawing that represents the relation between Covid-19 & solidarity. Iâm very interested in this and I want to make it as the concept/topic of my Final Major Project that will be exhibited in public in June (if the pandemic situation allows). I want to demonstrate that solidarity can also be viral and contagious đˇ

Day 54 of UAL Programme in Art and Design: Drawing Day at The Royal Free Hospital
These drawings were inspired by hospital/medical environment. We were told to spend the day somewhere and draw. Iâve chosen to go to the hospital.
Day 53 of UAL Programme in Art and Design: âBegin Anywhereâ Project Works
Walking around Kings Cross area, what caught my attention the most was the amount of âold and newâ designs, such as the chunky repurposed benches with metal, the building with glass and rusty design, the âKissing Roofâ (Thomas Heatherwick), made with glass and the two Victorian sheds. As a Theologian, I want to think of this work as a 3D illustration of the theological relationship between the old and the new (e.g. the Old Testament and the New Testament, the old and the new creation). This idea of the âold and newâ leads to the concept of âcontinuityâ. As such, Iâd call this work âContinuityâ. The fact that this work has also been inspired by Romans 11:17-24, which talks about Israel and the Gentiles in a metaphorical sense (the branches), and my choice of material (branches/wood) makes it a nonfigurative and figurative work at the same time.
The paper engineering/sculpture is inspired by the âKissing Roofâ of Thomas Heatherwick at Coal Drops Yard and the boat bookshop (both in Kings Cross area).
