The look on her face when she realizes
Hereβs what they said if you didnβt understand-
Interviewer: What do you think about starting an initiative on campus here at UK, to be more inclusive to women who have penises? So we can put urinals in the womens restroom for them.
Student: Sounds fantastic.
Interviewer: Oh, does it?
Student: Yeah.
Interviewer: What about- Letβs take it one step closer, y'know more- for inclusivity here on campus, but free tampons and pads in the mens restroom for men who have periods?
Student: Sounds great.
Interviewer: Ok- You dont see anything wrong with those statements?
Student: No.
Interviewer: What men do you know with periods?
Student: I generally use- ones like in Willy T* have pads, I use them pretty often.
*(Willy T is the college nickname for their library Iβve heard.)
I attend this school and I can confirm 2 things. Yes, our big library is indeed called Willy T AND the day that this stank bitch came to campus everyone was losing their MINDS and kept walking by in hopes of getting chosen to call her out. Immaculate.
i. am on the floor. wheezing. the moment she realizes that not only is she talking to a trans man,, but that SHE COULDNβT CLOCK HIM,, this is high art and i want it written in Big Wedge sharpie on my wall
okay, idk where the clip was, but there was another bit where she was talking to this frat-boy looking dude:
bennett: so do you think we should put tampons and pads in the menβs restroom? dude: sure, I mean, I donβt really care. if a dude needs a tampon, he can have one. bennett: but would he need one? like, what would he use it for? dude, thoroughly unimpressed: I donβt know, thatβs his problem.
and I just love that guyβs energy. So much of the trans bathroom talk is invasive and way too personal, and then thereβs this guy like βyeah, why the fuck would I need to know? why do you need to know, you weirdo?β
yall better be just as outraged about this as you were about notre dame
This is even WORSE.
To elaborate why this is worse: Art and religion are all well and good. But information can be critical. When libraries burn, information can be lost forever. Because we photograph art. We have blueprints of the Cathedral. The Notre Dame cathedral did not burn to the ground, only the wooden structures did. The entire library and everything within is gone here. Another reason this is worse? It was DELIBERATE. It was bombed. Accidents like Notre Dame happen all the time. But bombings donβt have to happen. So yeah, if you cared about Notre Dame, logically you should care about this too,
the witcher but with britney spears music (heavily inspired by @paper-records)
yeah break ups suck but have you ever watched lando norris lead a whole race and then lose it with 3 laps to go

Hello you need to see this drag performer talking about quantum physics, queer existence, and non-binary identitiesοΏΌ.
[Video Description: A drag queen β who is credited as Amrou Al-Kadhi / Glamrou, a drag performer, writer, and filmmaker β stands in front of a microphone and explains,
βQuantum physics is this incredible sect of of physics, which basicallyβ¦
With like, Newtonian physics β I think of it as heteronormative physics β where its basically βWhat are the fixed universal principles that govern the world? If I do A, will B happen? What are the formulas thatβll tell us anywhere in the universe, βWhat will happen if I input this?ββ
Quantum physics is equally a βrealβ sect of physics that basically looks at subatomic particles β so the very smallest things in our universe, not the macro things β and they contradict basically everything that Newtonian physics shows us. So, the most famous experiment is the Double Slit Experiment, where you fire an electron and it should go through the left or right hole. And then every now and then, it goes through both at the same time. And we donβt really know why. And sometimes, the same subatomic particle is in different locations at the same times.
And quantum physics shows that actually reality itself is basically a majority approximation of whatβs happening sub-atomically. So when people spew the biological essentialism argument on me. Like, particles themselves are non-binary, and do things that contradict each other all the time, we just canβt see them all the time. And that gives me a lot of comfort, that if subatomic particles defy constructs all the time, why should we believe in fixed constructs of gender, or any kind of reality?β END DESCRIPTION]
βNewtonian physics is heteronormativeβ is not the take I expected to see on my dash today, but it is 100% inspirational.

Thanks I needed this also. Iβll pass it on
Just the Rock blessing your feed
Thanks, Mr. The Rock.
So I was doing some research on common medications for a pharmacology class at school, and realized that Wikipedia is calling out the outrageous practices of pharmacological sales in the US. Right up there in the main intro to the medication theyβre showing how much the drug costs to produce, versus how much a typical course of treatment costs in the USA.
Amoxicillin, a front line antibiotic, typically taken at one pill per day. 10 pills cost between 0.20 and 0.50 USD to produce, marked up at up to 80 times the price in the US.
Salbutamol, AKA an asthma puffer, on the World Health Organizationβs List of Essential Medicines (considered to be the most important basic medications needed to be stocked by a pharmacy/hospital), a life saving medication.
How about oxygen? A tank of oxygen, used as a basic treatment for everything from low blood oxygen to respiratory failure to maintaining oxygen while administering anesthesia for an operation?
Epinephrine/adrenaline, AKA an epipen, given to people having a type of severe allergic reaction called anaphylaxis, where their airways swell and close up. A person in anaphylaxis will dieΒ without epinephrine/adrenaline. Costs at most $0.95 to produce, and theyβre sold for $70 at the absolute cheapest for a single vial.
Naloxone/Narcan, used to stop an opioid overdose. $5.30, at most, to produce. $4500 to buy.
Bisoprolol/Zebeta, given for high blood pressure, angina (chest pain), and heart failure, sold at over 1000% it costs to produce.
The combined birth control pill, ethinylestradiol/levonorgestrel.Β
Also, just so youβre aware, as of late Mat 2018, 1.80 GBP is 2.40 USD. For a three month supply of the pill. The same amount could cost you 150 USD in the United States.
The MMR vaccine, given to prevent mumps, measles, and rubella - diseases that could leave you deaf, blind, infertile.
Casual reminder that the for-pay medical system is vicious and morally bankrupt.
The pharmeceutical industry in the US is absolutely disgusting
Itβs the capitalism lmao
