My mom won't stop talking about how much she HATES Hamas. I brought up how the IOF TORTURES Palestinians in conversation because obviously that's very well known, it's just an accepted fact, and she was like, "yeah, and, well, Hamas also does their fair share of torturing Palestinians." Omg. Shut UP. And she has tried to tell me that no Palestinians support Hamas and they're actually just "stuck with them." Hamas is incredibly popular among Palestinians. Around 71% of all Palestinians supported Hamas's role in October 7. More Palestinians support Hamas than support Fatah and my mom ADORES Fatah. You cannot truly be anti-Hamas and pro-Palestinian liberation. Who are you to criticize a liberation movement? To criticize how an oppressed group of people chooses to fight for freedom? What would you do if you had colonists taking everything away from you and killing everybody around you? Would you really condemn Hamas? Would you condemn Palestinian freedom fighters? Would you?

I will continue to use the word "transandrophobia" to refer to our struggles until our attempts at rewording it to be clearer actually get taken seriously. If you cannot understand trans men are discriminated on their relationship to the patriarchy and how a transmasculinazing identity/transition affects it, and that we are not claiming men in general are oppressed for being men, then I'm not going to change my vocabulary to please you.
