the loumand microfic event last year was so fun and there was way more participation than i could've ever hoped for, so here's part 2! it's slightly different this time around but the general rules and idea is the same: to provide inspiration for people to create something.

the event is being held by @loumandivorce again, and will be occuring alongside the s3 episodes, which means it will be running for seven weeks. a weekly prompt will drop every sunday. the word count will be gradually increasing every week as a way for people to stretch their wings a little bit.

week one: june 7, 100 words

week two: june 14, 200 words

week three: june 21, 300 words

week four: june 28, 400 words

week five: july 5, 500 words

week six: july 12, 600 words

week seven: july 19, 700 words

rules below the cut:

the word counts are more fun suggestions than anything, so don't be worried about going over or under!

there are no deadlines for this event, so you can write for whatever prompt you want even after the week is up

the prompts are pre-planned and won't be related to the episode (except coincidentally). the fics don't have to correspond to the events of the episode of the week at all, but they can if you want

if you post your fics on tumblr, please use the #loumandmicroficevent26 tag and @ this blog! submissions will be reblogged onto this account

louis/armand from the show is the main focus of the event, but including other background pairings with louis or armand is fine considering the nature of the show. however, loumand should be the main focus

aus are accepted and so is jacob/assad rpf (the one exception to the previous rule because we need to get those numbers up)

please be mindful of how you portray certain topics. race, abuse, sexual assault, and other heavy subject matter are core to the show and should be shown respectfully

these prompts are meant to serve as inspiration, and other kinds of mediums are accepted, such as art, edits, webweaves, etc.

The final words of her victims. There were 42 pages, if I remember correctly.

180 years old... this coming November.

introducing loumand microfic week! this event is being held by @loumandivorce and will run from august 9th to august 16th, featuring a week's worth of prompts for writers. every day will have a different prompt and word count for people to write a little loumand ficlet for.

the word count for each prompt will be based off of various lines in the show, for example: the day's prompt might be recognition/misunderstanding and the word count could be 128 from "128 boys he’s brought here. And you’re the first he didn’t consummate and drain."

i hope this event encourages and inspires people to write loumand, especially those who might not write much fic or for this specific pairing. the full list of prompts will be out soon!

Hello everyone! Here is everything you need to know about "Our Coven Is Claudia" and how to be a part of it. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, and please keep an eye on this account as more things will be happening between now and the festival. We are incredibly excited, and we hope that you are too!

The IWTV Writers’ Room on Twitter posted design boards from, among other sets, Daciana’s manor, and I asked if they knew the origin of the wall tapestry we see. They said they weren’t sure, but they were kind enough to add a BTS pic with better detail!

It’s clearly Medieval-style. The figures and the panes of various scenes remind me of the work of Giotto, a highly influential Florentine pre-Renaissance painter from the mid-1300s. I haven’t been able to find a reference image yet. Reverse image searches have thus far only come up with different works of Medieval art. My best guess right now is that it was developed by the set crew and painted or printed onto canvas.

So if we assume that the style is pre-Renaissance, we can infer that Daciana’s manor (I’ve previously called it a castle but the design boards refer to it as “Romanian manor”) dates from the mid-to-late 1300s at the earliest.

Feel free to share your thoughts! And please correct me if I’m wrong, my area of study is Antiquity rather than the Middle Ages.
