For me with ‘happiness’ I got an instant reminder of how she said divorce stories are oddly triggering while talking about MTR and here she’s writing about a divorce and moving on and finding happiness in that new life and how everything fell apart in the marriage and that even making the ex a villain doesn’t make it heal, it feels like it’s exploring the feelings she has about everything falling apart with Scott b. I also liked how she acknowledged there was happiness in their (marriage) history and that can coexist with it also being shitty

maybe taylor’s consistent “everyone wants to fuck my boyfriend” is less about people actually being obsessed with him/trying to “steal” him & a lot more about thinking so little of yourself that you assume anyone could walk up and take your happiness away from you, because you dont deserve it, and you’re so desperate to believe that this love is yours, but are so frantic that it’ll be stolen by someone more worthy than you, because to you every single woman out there is more worthy
