The world is such a beautiful place,

But there are some obsessive ragebaiters like your case,

Deep down you know what you say is wrong,

But you still at it headstrong,

All these excuses to make your mama look bad,

I know she gave it her all but you still choose to be sad,

You so naive of how the world works,

You think human psychology is just calling out jerks,

You use pictures over words,

You think its better but you're doing worse,

Hiding behind those self diagnosis fancy,

Using ragebait as shield against fear of being miss nancy,

Acting all innocent,

Always attempting to circumvent,

The man who sees the world as bitter,

How would you know any better.

He couldn't tell you this Tuesday,

what he wanted come the fall,

couldn't even text good morning,

could barely call at all.

He kept you in the "maybe",

in the "let's just see how it goes",

the man who waters nothing,

but expects the garden grows.

Oh, the laziest of loves,

is the one that never tries,

that borrows all your warmth,

and gives you back goodbyes.

Call it what you want, he said,

real smooth, real unbothered,

and what I want to call it, love,

is something you should feel.

So let me name the unnamed thing,

in plain and simple tongue:

a man who cannot choose you now,

will not choose you ever hun.

I guess I'm into older guys,

who keep telling lies,

who pretend to be heartbroken by their exes,

or act like the whole universe is against us.

The ones who wasted all their time,

on their own petty issues like it's fine,

think the only way to feel okay,

is to probably get a tattoo today.

The ones who blame their parents for it all,

their incompetence magnitude and tall,

make it the whole pretence of their mental health,

never once looked at themselves.

Blame the mother, blame the father, blame the ex,

blame the stars, the timing, all the rest,

make it everybody else's crime,

and I sit there disappointed every time.

I know exactly what this is,

I've read the books, I know the biz,

anxious girl meets avoidant man,

and yet here I am.

I think I can fix them,

I genuinely do,

I look at the broken ones,

and think oh that's my cue!

Lord help me!

What do I do?

loved your psychosis, God was it exquisite!

stayed by your side through every dark minute,

I was just your safety call, go on admit it!

You kept me close because I pulled you through,

pretty much confirms what I suspected from the start,

you needed a lifeguard, not a sweetheart.

When's the last time you checked on me?

do you even know my favourite song?

you seem so lucky for a boy so loved,

did you ever wonder what you were doing wrong?

I learnt a whole new language just for you,

did you even try to learn a word or two?

I know exactly how your dad proposed your mom,

you never asked where I dreamed of going to.
