Murphy laughed as he got a firm grip on her hand, not sure how well this would work. “Feel free to, if my mistake can make people laugh it’s worth it.” He smiled before taking a deep breath. “Pull on three?”  

"You are the best, I swear I won’t ridicule you or anything, I’m just working on my new video and it’s not everyday I see stuff like this.” She grinned and gave a nod, “Alright dude, one two three” at three she pulled as hard as she could.

“I at least hope you got a good shot of it.” He laughed, laying his head back on the slide. “I think if you take my hand and pull I could maybe stand up and walk down. So much for having a little fun, when they say ten and under they mean it on these things.”

“I did, I think it’s a pretty cool clip.”Suzanne said as she put her videocamera back in her bag and put it on the ground. “Alright, let’s do this,” she said and reached out for the boy’s hand. “Would you mind if I used it in a video? I’m a YouTuber”

“I’ve made a mistake…Please, please put the camera down. I’m actually stuck.”

“Oh God, I’m sorry. I’ll help you get loose.”

“There’s this gay bar down the road. I feel like it would be a lot funner than any other old club on the strip.”

“Gay folks and drinks? Count me in, I love gay bars.”

“Wanna get out of here? Do something a little more fun?”

“Definitely, what did you have in mind?”

“Which just proves how old-fashioned the guy is. Not worth your time at all.”

“You’re right, he’s probably just some loser. But hey, let’s not think of him, you wanna join me for a coffee?”

“Hate mail is always written by some bitter old man who plays dungeons and dragons in their mother’s basement. So why give in to it, you know? Why please them?”

“Yeah I know, and usually I can deal with it, it’s just... you know sometimes it gets to me. Like this dude didn’t send an email, or a comment. He actually wrote a letter and sent it, in the mail.”

“I guess? It’s like any other day to me.”

“Well I think it’s beautiful. There’s something in the air.”

“Oh that’s adorable. Has he asked for you number yet or is he the kind of guy that’s just going to shyly try to extend the conversation and never go further?”

"Not yet, but who knows, maybe one of these days he will. Anyway, what are you up to these days?”

Maddie feigned scandal, gasping and clutching at her chest. “He gives you the flirt discount too? I thought it was just me…I thought he and I had something special.”

“Yes, and if it’s really quiet here sometimes he’ll try to talk with me. It’s kind of cute how shy he is.”

“I see. Any specific favorites?”

“It varies a lot, depends on my mood”

“Ooo that’s a good point,” Maddie mused, looking around at the tables. “I don’t think we want this place to have good advertising. I’ve never had to wait more than six minutes for my drink…totally don’t want that to change.”

“Part of the charm is that it’s never too crowded here, you can always get one of the good tables.” A brief pause as a playful smile grazed her lips, “and if you flirt a little the redhaired guy will give you a discount, I don’t suppose that would change though”
