I sometimes reflect on the orphan boys from Surah al-Kahf.

Their father was a righteous man, and God kept a treasure hidden for them that they would discover when they got older. It makes me wonder what treasures are waiting for me as I live my life. It doesn’t have to be a physical treasure, I’m sure there will be spiritual treasures as well in my journey to death.

One of the tafaseer (Qurtubi) says that the treasure was scripts of knowledge. Sometimes that is truly the biggest treasure of all. It is even interesting how their "father" who was a righteous wasn't their direct father but their 7th grandparent. It was not their righteousness but the baraka of generations passed to them out of Allaah's mercy and love for the believers.

May we all unravel the spiritual things in our life, ameen.
