She is. And how cute is she? I saw your photo. Congrats, man. Girls have a very different dynamic than boys, I think - both are nice, just different.

She’s the sweetest little thing, I swear. It’s already so different and she’s not even a whole day old.  I can’t stop staring at her.

I always worry about that with Gracie, which is part of the reason why we’re waiting a while.  But it’s always so great when kids just pick up how to be around babies, I’m really glad that Tom’s doing well with her.  They get big fast, though, so enjoy her being tiny while you have it, man.  Next thing you know?  Full head of hair.  I can definitely imagine Jensen crying, I do it every night to help me sleep.  No, but that’s cute, kudos to you.

Yeah we’re really relieved, Shep is just bored of her already. Ugh they definitely do grow up too quick, I just can’t stop staring at her, you konw? So freaked out I’m going to miss anything. It’s weird that she’s got a head of brown hair, that’s the weirdest bit to me. Tom was a sandy blonde when he was born and Shep didn’t have hair at all so seeing all that dark hair blew me away. I know it’ll change but still. A bit of consistency would be nice, kiddos.

The boys are handling it alright then?  I was wondering about that, if they were taking to her okay and everything.  But yeah, man, they’re tiny, they feel a lot tinier than boys do, but so great.  You’re going to love it.  Of course, whenever you want.  You guys enjoy the time together.

Yeah Tom was really apprehensive about her at first. Did a lot of staring and frowning at her for a while but he’s come around. He’s cute as hell with her man, insists on helping burp her and wanted her to sleep in his bed with him tonight. Seriously, she’s so fucking small. She’s got the smallest little patch of brown hair and holy hell, I’ll make sure I’ll tweet a picture soon. Can you imagine the tears Jensen shed when we told him we were giving her middle name Jay? Jesus.

Emilie is a lovely name, absolutely. And thinking about who her parents are, it definitely fits her, too. And isn’t it funny how the second names end up being the ones with the most meaning behind it most of the time?

Thank you, I really appreciate you saying that. Naming a kid is so goddamn stressful. Oh totally, it’s always the middle name that gets the heavy meaning. When I told Jensen about us tying his name into her name he cried.

I bet she has the tiniest fingers and toes you’ve ever seen in your entire life, right?  Congratulations, Jared, I’m really happy for you and Gen and the boys — let me know if you need anything, alright?

I swear to god I refuse to believe she’s the same size Shep was when he was born, she’s so goddamn tiny man. Thank you, man, really. Tom is absolutely obsessed with her already. You’ll have to bring Gracie around so y’all can meet her sometime next week when we’re more settled with her, deal?
