LIE cause I am extremely fragile-” she said sarcastically, leaning back in her chair smirking. she wasn’t fragile-not from first instance. “so can you please lie, for me? so I can enjoy my wonderful soup in peace, away from haters.”

                    ❝      i’m   catching   snowflakes   with   my   tongue   ,      what’s   it   look   like   i’m   doing   ?   ❞

ally   turned   to   the   other   ,   sighing   to   herself   .   it   was   such   a   complicated   answer   with   so   much   history   and   backstory   .   but   it   was   a   simple   yes   or   no   question   ,   but   ally   seemed   to   love   to   complicate   it   .   “   yes   ,   ”   she   said   ,   nodding   to   the   other   .   “   i   live   here   ,   with   my   mom   .   i’m   from   .   .   .      a   lot   of   places   though   .   i   was   in   the   foster   care   system   .   ”   there   allison   ,   simple   .

Dahlia held her list in both hands now, glancing briefly back at the words on the note before nodding several times as if she related to what the other was saying. “I do too,” she admitted, but then realized she needed to specify which part of Rai’s statement she meant. “Oh, with both, I mean. I like sticking to a schedule, and…” Her voice drifted off for a moment as she contemplated. “I think going on autopilot has become almost default.” A small laugh came as she smiled.

spunky as ever, his daughter did take him by surprise a bit, the older man did admittedly startle a little…but as a dad he didn’t startle as much as a person without kids would. a laugh escaped him as he shook his head, grinning at his daughter as he moved to gently embrace her. “i believe i just did? but maybe i’m mistaken…” he laughed again as he nudged the younger woman’s shoulder playfully. “so what  do you think, sweetheart? what should your ole dad read this time round? cause you know if i have my way about it i’ll just go with something i’ve read far too many times before.” and he always liked to expand his horizons, especially if ava marie suggested something.

as   much   as   thomas   hated   to   admit   it   ,   they   were   getting   old   .   and   the   barn   ,   oh   the   barn   needed   so   much   help   .   mostly   just   a   new   coat   of   paint   and   some   new   wood   .   it   had   taken   a   few   hours   but   they   now   stood   in   front   of   the   barn   ,   pride   rising   in   their   chest   .   and   then   he   put   an   arm   around   his   daughter   ,   giving   her   a   side   hug   before   keeping   his   arm   around   her   shoulders   .

“   promise   me   you   won’t   tell   your   father   i   fell   ,   ”   they   laughed   ,   shaking   their   head   .

ally’s   heart   sank   a   little   seeing   the   meadow   before   her   covered   in   frost   and   the   flowers   no   longer   bright   with   colors   .   “   ugh   ,   ”   she   sighed   ,   shaking   her   head   .   “   why   couldn’t   my   mom   live   in   .   .   .   georgia   or   something   where   it   doesn’t   frost   .   ”   it   wasn’t   a   total   lost   though   ,   she   could   still   make   her   flower   crowns   with   either   fake   flowers   or   with   the   discards   at   the   flower   shop   .

It wasn’t awkward per say, at least for Jensen it wasn’t. He walked into Victoria Secret as if he belonged there. Typically though, he attempted to avoid eye contact to give others the impression that he wasn’t there to sneak any looks. Even when the workers asked if he needed assistance, he quickly and politely dismissed them. Less than ten minute later, he was through the line and walking out with the iconic large pink bag. 

As he walked, Jensen noted one of the fluffy blankets yarn balls caught on the outside of the bag. He attempted to fix it and was nearly blindsided to the person who was standing right around the corner. With grace, Jensen turned out of the way just in time– avoiding a nasty collision. 

“Hey.” He said smoothly as he turned to look at them. “Sorry about that– Oh, I haven’t seen you in a while. What’s up?” 

something she hardly got to do anymore or make the time for was shop, so rai finally got out to do some. she was in need of some things herself as well as needing to do a bit of holiday shopping. it was a bit weird this year as she was no longer shopping for a husband and so mostly for her co-workers. she found herself longing for someone else to have to shop for once again and never thought she would miss that.

After another full day of classes was over, Dahlia’s next destination was the grocery store since her refrigerator and pantry were beginning to run low. She situated the strap of her messenger bag on her shoulder to get it in a more comfortable position, continuing to look at the list of items on a piece of paper she held in her other hand. Then she finally noticed a presence beside her on the aisle and her head whipped over in surprise. “Oh, I’m sorry,” she said quickly and softly. “Am I in your way? I can move…” Dahlia was already taking a step backward just in case.

the  beach  always  calmed  her  .  father  used  to  joke  that  if  spent  any  more  time  in  the  water  ,  it’d  swallow  her  whole  &  her  brother  would  laugh  ,  which  by  default  she’d  do  the  same  .  she’s  accustom  to  the  sound  of  waves  crashing  ,  solitude  in  her  breaks  &  when  she’s  off  the  clock  .  it’s  the  perfect  way  to  de - stress  after  a  long  day  at  work  (  sure  she  loves  her  job  ;  but  only  to  an  extent  )  .  she’s  emerged  in  the  scenery   ––   sun  setting  &  the  hue  of  the  sky’s  turn  over   ––   the  buzz  of  people  and  song  that  is  quiet  in  her  right  ear  .  IN  HER  OWN  LITTLE  WORLD  until  she’s  removing  her  airpod  ,  only  just  noticing  the  company  next  to  her  .  how  long  had  they  been  sitting  there  ?  she  wouldn’t  dare  question  it  ;  except  welcome  it  .  her  body  shifting  lightly  to  turn  to  the  new  presence  ,  hand  pushing  through  her  hair  .    “   did  you  say  something  ?   ”    ah  yes  ,  covering  all  bases  .   uses  her  finger  to  tap  at  the  headphones  in  her  hand  ,  laughing  quietly  .    “   might  have  to  tell  me  again  if  you  did  .   ”

did you know that sometimes, on occasion, karen’s did in fact come in to get a tattoo? and on those rare but terrible days rana usually found herself having the type of day that lead her to flower’s pub. there was just something about dealing with karen’s for hours on end that ground on the raven-haired woman’s nerves, like metal on concrete. which was why she plopped down onto the first bar stool she found and turned to the first patron she saw with a welcoming smile and hum. “if ya keep me company i’ll be more than happy to pay for the next round, sound like a sweet enough deal?”

it was genuinely no secret that logan rhodes was a lowkey nerd when it came to books. it was why he was currently standing in an aisle of shoreside books right now actually, thumbing through the pages of a novel he hadn’t read since his college days. this was something he usually did. when he couldn’t figure out what he should read next, most of the time he resorted to the classics he’d fallen in love with. but this time? he glanced around, dark eyes landing on the nearest person as his soft british voice asked “any books you’d recommend for someone who isn’t choosy?”

ava: she failed a test in school a week or so ago and is %100 convinced the teacher hates her. she has been ranting/venting to anyone that will listen or is remotely in earshot. 

rai: she’s having a hard time letting go of what she lost with the ned of her marriage. she’s finding it harder to let go somedays and is struggling not to feel anger at the situation.

14.  temperance  :  does your muse make plans ? how impulsive are they ? has this gotten them into good / bad situations and how have they dealt with them?

ava: uses a lot of emoji’s and is will send three different messages before you can respond to the first one. somedays she will type a whole paragraph and other times she will forget to even text back.

rai: short and to the point, she doesn’t hate texting but feels it can be time-consuming worry about how you’re coming across. since she has to do a lot of phone/video calls with work, she prefers talking on the phone.

🛌 - What’s their sleeping position?

ava: whatever feels comfortable that night. sometimes laying horizontal or with her head at the bottom, she loves curling up though.

to cherish the things we have in this world and to not spend my life always wanting more. ⏤ ava.

that no one else is going to do it the way you want it, so get out there and do it yourself. my parents always instilled independence in me and it’s help me a lot in the past few months. ⏤ rai.

👶 - Do you have any children? Do you want children?

nope and someday, i think i’ll want to adopt like my parents. ⏤ ava.

i do not and honestly i’m not sure, i have a hard time picturing myself with children. i would worry i am way too uptight for them. ⏤ rai.

🐶 - Did you have any pets growing up? What about now?

had pets that were the whole families growing up and loved all of them. now i have two cats, coco and amber. ⏤ ava.

ava: she isn’t sure if she believes in fate but she knows there is something else more powerful than humans. she thinks you can, that nothing is ever completely set in stone.
