Are you tired of religious people being seen as morally superior to skeptics & atheists? Of religions getting special privileges in the law, because they’re perceived as better than secular non-profit organizations?

As a protest, a group of skeptic and atheist friends had a fantastic idea in 2010. Let’s start a real, legal church with a funny name, and then demand the same rights as mainstream religions:

We oppose supernatural claims. We are skeptics and atheists. In our religion, we doubt religion.

We fight discrimination. Atheists and non-believers are not inferior and should not be hated and marginalized.

We raise money for charity and are striving to be the most generous church in the world.

Our officiants perform legal weddings for member’s friends and family and always for free. How joyful!

We expose religious privileges as silly by claiming the same rights for Bacon.

Praise Bacon If you prefer to praise Vegetarian Bacon or Turkey Bacon that is fine!

We now have over 25,000 members from around the world and have performed hundreds of weddings. Join us! Raise your voice in protest, and to Praise Bacon!

About the Church

The United Church of Bacon is a real, legal church established in 2010. We are based in Las Vegas, Nevada and currently have over 25,000 members worldwide.

We chose a funny bacon name to expose how wrong it is for society to give automatic respect and special legal privileges to religions. Is our saying we worship Bacon really any stranger than Catholics who say that communion wafers become the body of Christ? Unlike God, who is invisible, at least we can see Bacon. Bacon is demonstrably real.

Our name has nothing to do with a rude term for police officers. We respect the police and our founder is a decorated veteran.

This is becoming a bit of a habit. You get yorself stuck in some horrible mess, and then I come to your rescue. Me? Well, what about you? Well, I guess that’s what friends are for.

Desperada: proves that Adrien puts an insane amount of pressure on himself in his job as a superhero and in his responsibility to his teammate, and shows us that he thinks it’s his job to go through with stupidly difficult plans that could literally kill him or drive him insane rather than ask for help. Also illustrates just how much damage the secret identity rule is doing to Adrien and how it stops him from being able to communicate anything from individual battle plans to emotional support he may need.

F- Face: is their face fallen on one side?

A- Arms: can they raise both their arms up and hold them there?

S- Speech: is their speech slurred? Can they speak a full sentence?

T- Time: if all the signs show a stroke, call 999.

-One limb going numb, especially on only one side of your body

Guys. For the billionth time. Headlines need to give as much relevant details as possible while still being short enough to be read at a glance or almost, and get people to read the rest. Unless the article is about someone well-known enough that we can safely assume the reader will recognize them, first names do not go in headlines.
