PAST:

Alfred Joseph Wright was born as the oldest child of Gareth and Audrey Wright, he was soon followed by his 1 year younger sister, Noelle and the picture was completed with the birth of his younger brother Cameron. The family lived together in Seattle where all three the Wright children enjoyed a happy childhood. Alfie had always been a bit of an outsider. While he was a happy kid, he wasn’t as loud or obnoxious as his peers and preferred to be around a select group people instead of a massive crowd. Even from a very early age on he liked to be left alone to work on his school work or read. He was exceedingly smart and very eager to learn.

Growing up his father and him always had a little bit of falling out, Alfie lacked a certain masculinity his father thought he required. Alfie’s mom always made sure the occasional fight between father and son didn’t get out of hand. On his dad’s request Alfie started playing soccer, which he absolutely hated. His sister followed his footsteps though and the both of them went to soccer practice together every Monday and Wednesday. This lasted from when he was 9 until he was about 13 years old. One night after the two had been picked up by their mom they got in a car crash, his mother and sister died instantly. Alfie was the only survivor and woke up in the hospital, where his dad and brother were waiting for him with the bad news. Alfie was heartbroken by their passing, not had he only lost his sister and mother but he also lost his best friend. Alfie and Noelle had always been attached to the hip, especially since his brother and him weren’t always on good terms. Gareth was obviously devastated by the lost of his wife and only daughter; he started drinking and lost his job. He didn’t see it as a blessing that he still had two children left, they were only a painful reminder of all that he had lost. Needless to say things took a wrong turn in Wright household. The first months he only pestered his sons with verbal abuse yet after a fight that got out of hand he hit Cameron, causing Alfie to stick up for him. Since that night beatings became regular around the house.

He grew even more closed off in high-school. His always quiet and socially awkward self also grew pessimistic and careless, the only interaction he had with people were snide remarks or snappy comments. He pushed everyone away as far as possible, no one was allowed to hurt him or find out what was going on. He had only a couple of friends left sporadically but he managed to lose most of them along the way as well as they one by one decided it was not worth it to put up with Alfie’s endless insults, short temper and pessimistic attitude. He didn’t just push all his friends out, also his younger brother was completely cut out of his life, Alfie barely talked to him and didn’t show the support his younger sibling obviously needed in their situation.

After graduation Alfie made sure to get as far away from home as possible. He enrolled into the University of San Diego and moved out of his old home. This did mean he left his little brother behind, an action he was never very proud of. Alfie tried his very best to forget everything that happened back in Seattle and spent all this time focussing on his architecture major. He never became really popular around campus, he was still as cold and distant as back in highschool but he didn’t really mind, he wasn’t looking to make friends. While his social life was a joke, his grades were something all his classmates envied and in before graduating he already had plenty of job offers and internships around California thrown at him.

Just before Alfie graduated he received a wedding invitation from one of his few old high-school friends. He didn’t like the idea of returning for Seattle but decided to do it anyways. He told no one about his return and would arrive the night before the wedding and leave the city the next day immediately after the wedding. What Alfie didn’t expect was his dad to be waiting for him outside of the hotel when he was about to head back to San Diego. While he had made it clear that he had zero intention of speaking to his father the man didn’t want to leave him. The night turned out disastrous and while Alfie felt more relieved than ever before he was sure he would never set foot in Seattle again and that he could never face his younger brother about what happened.

PRESENT:

Once he was back in San Diego he quickly finished up his school year like nothing had happened. With his degree in his pocket he accepted a job offer in Los Angeles and moved into a room in the Royal Haven hotel. He has been staying in the hotel for almost 6 months at this point and is still busily working his job. His social skills haven’t really grown over the past few years and most of the employees and long time guests are used to Alfie’s hostile way of communication. He has found a few friends and acquaintances here and there but his social circle is still incredibly small and not even the few people he hangs out with know about what happened back in Seattle.

PERSONALITY:
