The Story So Far (in as few words as possible so you get curious...)

Chapter 1- Jimmy and Curly talk about forming a band. Then they do it.

Chapter 2- Jimmy sells weed and Curly is on the verge of a panic attack the whole time

Chapter 3

My favorite genre? ... Probably heavy metal. Alternative, Rock, that sort of thing. A sprinkle of rap and indie to spice up the moods... whats your favorite?

... There's a moment I think about sometimes when we practice. When I was little I attended before and after-school care, and usually I was the only kid to be around for a while. One day- I guess I showed up too early or he just got lost in it- but the adult in that room was playing loud, heavy music. I didn't hear it until I opened the door, but when I finally did i felt my own body's rhythm change. Even after he paused the music and got me breakfast, it didn't go back. I kept thinking about what I heard, replaying what stuck in my head until the bus brought me back. I begged him to let me hear it again. And again. And again.

... My mom was pagan for a while. She got really into all kinds of mythology while she 'searched for a deity to work with' or something. However she found out about the thing, she became a little bit obsessed with it. She'd doodle it on papers. Sometimes I'd find full sketches of this creature when I snooped around her room for...

Anyways, when I asked her about it, she said it represented freedom and 'connection with the heavens.' Personally, I think it represented a mental breakdown for her. But when we as a band landed on the name, it just felt right. It felt like I was speaking freedom into existence. Our freedom.

Ive had the idea for a while but never had the courage to start it up until now. I hope you'll stick around and watch the story of Makeup and Mouthwash unfold <3 (if you were unaware, this blog will follow the timeline of this fic! At the moment, Jimmy is in the middle of his senior year of high school, and both he and Curly have met Daisuke and Anya!)
