My mom likes to tell me about how when I was a little kid riding public transport with her I'd always smile and giggle and chat with weird old ladies who smelled like cat pee and homeless folks and strangers dressed in bizarre outfits but any time a tidy and respectable businessman in a suit and tie waved at me I'd immediately clam up, and she takes a great deal of pride in my supposed inherentability to clock personalities but the truth is I do vaguely remember those bus rides, and it was never about the clothes or the hair or the smell, but more because everyone "strange" asked interesting questions and listened to what I had to say and seemed to think about what I said while the neat and tidy and rigid folks only ever acted like they were going through the motions, which was boring as hell and also pretty annoying

Horrible fact about Fool’s Gold: Rem still gets a crush on Subaru.

Long story short, Heinkelbaru manages to help Rem like Subaru does in canon around the time Arc 3 happens. But while Heinkelbaru is incapable of seeing Rem as anything but a child he’s grown fond of (because 1) Rem is a year younger than his son, Reinhard, 2) Heinkel is married and 3) Subaru is still wildly underestimating people’s ages and thus thinks that Rem is somewhere around 9 years old), Rem has absolutely no qualms about falling head over heels for that 40-year-old man.

Heinkelbaru doesn’t even notice. He still gives her headpats when they meet and largely treats her like canon!Subaru treats Petra. Everyone else very much notices, because Rem is not even trying to be subtle. Not like she’d be very good at it anyway but she’s Not.

Also Heinkelbaru is still kind of flirting with Roswaal (Rem’s boss) just to blow off steam and Rem is totally responding to that like a normal person. (“Just like Nee-sama, I see! Heinkel-san truly has superb taste!”)

when Red and Green were called “battle legends” when SuMo dropped my immediate reaction was that maybe Green finally won against Red, and Red was proud of his boyfriend and then for a bit Green had the world champion title

but then Red beat him again and the title changed hands, then like half a week later Green wins again, this continues for like a month until Lance gets so sick of having to constantly re-register which one is the world champion that he just gives them both battle legend as a title and calls it quits

as an aside: as someone who was constantly crumbling under the pressure and attention that world champion drew Red was more than happy to have a shared title, which also took the pressure off Green to try and outdo Red
