“To the mountain” Mineral pigments on Japanese paper 33 x 19 cm (13 x 7.5 inches) 「山へ」 岩絵具、水干絵具、 麻紙 33 x 19センチ “Hacia la montaña” Pigmentos minerales sobre papel japonés. 33 x 19 cm 2021年の夏に別府へ数日、旅行をしました。その時に、すごく登山したかったけどずっと雨だったので行けなかったです。 そんな中、ある雨の日に遠くから見た山をスケッチしていると、山に惹き込まれる感覚に陥りました。 その後に、日本画で描いた作品がこれです。 京都で2021年10月の展覧会で出品したら即売して、すごく嬉しかったです。 In the summer of 2021, I went to Beppu, in Oita, Japan. I wanted to hike in the mountains but everyday was raining a lot so I couldn’t. One of those rainy days I was sketching a far away mountain, and while I was doing it I felt how I was drawn into it. After a while I created this painting.
